5 RepliesI see haters throwing around terms like "obsessed with" and "fantasize about" when describing people who watch this show. You people [i]are[/i] aware of the fact that, like any fandom, there are different layers, right? Yes, you have the toxic assholes who fit every stereotype you throw at them (neckbeards; perverts; masturbate to ponies; etc.). But most people who like the show.....just like the show. That's it. They don't buy merchandise, they don't talk about it all the time, and they have other interests. It's just another bullet-point on their "List of TV Shows I Kinda Like" probably between GenericCrimeDrama and ObligatorySciFiSeries. And as for it being a "little girls show": what the hell did you watch as a kid? No SpongeBob? No Powerpuff Girls or Dexter's Laboratory? MLP has the [i]exact same[/i] brand of humor (which is gender-neutral, mind you) as any of those, and was in fact created by the same woman who aided in production of the latter two. There's literally no difference between a guy watching an old episode of SpongeBob and watching an episode of MLP. And finally, let's take a step back and look around before we go insulting people's mental health. We're on an online forum for a goddamn video game. A game that explicitly encourages countless hours of grinding and endless repetition. This is [i]hardly[/i] the place to criticize someone else's choice of entertainment.
