"Softest" Sport

Title says it all. What sport do you perceive to be for "pansies" As a Kick Boxer for 10 years + assistant instructor for 2 and all my friends consisting of soccer players I often witness what they claim to be "massive fights and falls," but are more or less shoving matches. I find this quite sad and therefore soccer gets my vote. Sorry if I rustled your jimmies, I just prefer a sport where something actually happens. Go on guardians pick the softest sport and why. This is sheer opinion have fun with it.

Probably football. Anyone who plays that just relies on padding.
american. Not soccer.
• Soccer just because of all the fake injuries in that sport. To play soccer you need to be 10% soccer player and 90% actor

        • 1: There are no Guardians here. Only Oldfags and Desticles. 2: Futbol has the highest injury rate of any non contact sport with fractures, broken, sprained and twisted ankles and damage to the phalanges and metatarsals(?). 3: Of the Full Contact sports, I.E. Hockey, Rugby and American Football, American Football has the least injuries reported on a regular basis, with Hockey taking the lead. My vote for mainstream sport? American Football.

          • As a soccer player for ten years I can see why you would think our sport is for pansies. The only reason people fake injuries is because they're playing the whistle so the can get pk's, free kicks, indirects, etc. you may not know it but soccer is an extremely difficult, tiring, and dangerous sport.

          • Id have to say basketball. Ive never really gotten into it, but i have played it a lot with my friends, and if i make a fraction of the amount of contact that i can in soccer, everyone on the other team is calling foul and then my team gets pissed at me for barely laying a hand on the player. Im not saying basketball isnt a hard sport or anything, but i feel like some people become pansies when they play bball.

Football will probably be considered the softest sport by a lot of people here but I wouldn't consider it to be the most 'pansiest'. It's a contact sport where at nearly every corner or set-piece people are putting themselves at risk of a head to head collision or an elbow in the face. Then there's also the chance of getting a stud anywhere in your body and someone taking your standing leg out whenever you have the ball which can easily lead to breaks, fractures, dislocations and torn ligaments. When you see players go down for something innocuous, it's not at all because they're hurt, they're just trying to get an advantage for their team through either a free-kick, penalty or just to get the other player on bad terms with the ref. It's mainly acting. For me, non-contact sports are clearly the most 'pansiest' because there's no worry about getting taken out by an opposition, your only worry is about injuring yourself.

          • Soccer is the sport where a lot of men who can't take a scraped knee play but the sport itself isn't too soft. Perhaps curling?
