To those of you with black spindle
Hats off to you. I've been trying since 9 am and haven't even come close. So many different groups (lfg), and strategies. I can't do it. **** that gun. It's not worth the frustration. I can honestly say I'm not good enough to do it. And I was running with a 303 warlock. So, congratulations, and enjoy your hard earned gun. And bungie....-blam!- you!!!!
Edit: hey, thanks for the replies. Still would have been nice though. Oh well, got my still piercer on my hunter, and my hereafter. I'll get it one day.

Grab 2 bubble Titans next time, that's how we did it. Rolled into the boss room with about 8 minutes on the clock, killed the guy in about 3, and then spent the next 5 slaying ads

I was at it for 5 hours before I got it so I know the grind is real! Biggest thing you can get to help you is time! Seriously if people on your team are sitting on supers and heavy till they get to the last room that's what'll get you. Our previous runs we had killed the main dude but couldn't get all the adds. We went full Norris on the first two rooms, rockets or swords are best for most rooms, use the heavy to take out wizards, captains and snipers. Specials to clear up adds and generate orbs for other people. Got to the final room with 7 minutes left If you've gone in with full heavy and synths ready to pop you'll be fine

Try it with two titans. I did it at 283. Just clear adds, kill boss. Kill more adds. Make sure you can kill the adds fast. We had 9 seconds left. I also got a cool ship from it

Here are some tips: -clear the blights as soon as possible (obvious) -get your hands on an exotic sword (dark drinker pref). Will tear the rooms before boss apart, especially wizards in spider tank room. - Don't try the bubble + sword strat at boss unless you are 300+ with a dark drinker and a bow/melting point person Any other tips? Let's help this guy out

It was sooo much easier this time. I got it both times, but this recent one worked well with two swords in a bubble on him, and the third guy clearing ads with a launcher.

1 ReplyThe strategy we used was one defender, stormcaller, and a night stalker using swords. Right off the bat, defender runs up and pops a bubble with WoL. Don't pop it right on top of him. It's like a safe haven. Then the night stalker tethers him. Just swing away. Once you guys die, the stormcaller goes and makes orbs for the defender to get the bubble again. While he is doing this, try to be shooting psions as well because they can make many. Once he is defeated, the defender switches to BoL for more health while killing adds. Hope it helps:)

While the gun is a really nice throwback to black hammer and I am happy that it is in the game, it isn't worth the exotic slot, for the raid it really only shines on warpriest and gogororh and even then 1000 yard sniper is just as good, especially with raid gloves with sniper reload and faster reload while in an aura(I got really lucky), and lets me use jade rabbit since primary ammo doesn't want to spawn for me in the raid, and once you get touch of malice daughters and oryx become cake. Also, since you are having trouble I urge you to if you are not clearing adds first at the boss fight to do adds first then dps boss, seriously went from not beating it to having 1:20 left on the clock.

Warlock lightning super is a beast in the final room. Stagger the supers to generate orbs.

Tried it 4 times before we got it. The second time we all convened on the last mob in the room as the timer hit zero....:') and my heart shattered

I hear you I also thought maybe this isn't worth it, but finally managed to do it with 11 seconds to spare, and what can I say? It's totally worth it! Hits like a blaming truck! Keep going!

Yeah, it was a tough run. Took about 10 tries. Ended finishing it with almost a minute left though!!!!!!! Make sure the blights go down fast, bubble him up and hack him with swords.

Rockets are your best friend. When you see a blight show up. Just unload on it with your rocket launcher. Kills the blight and all the adds it just spawned.

Honestly didn't feel that much harder than a regular mission. Shoot the blights first like you should always be doing anyway, out of 4 completions 3 had nearly 2 mins remaining

Clear the adds first. Priority number 1 is the blight followed by scions. Once adds are dead, dps boss. Rinse and repeat. Completed 3x with about 2.5 minutes to spare. Good luck!

3 RepliesTether boss, sword and shotgun until he is dead Should have about 5 minutes to clear blights and adds.I am in no way saying this was easy, but of all the attempts we made, I have learnt that you want that big bastard down first, chaining supers on the adds will kill them quickly and if the boss is dead he won't respawn the blights giving you a much easier time dealing with those shiny assholes
