Does it seem to anyone else that everyone back when vault of glass and Crota was the hardest raid people were a lot friendlier? Sure there were a few bad apples, but they were mocked by everyone. Now it seems like the MUST BE 999+ LIGHT WITH 3000 DAMAGE GJALLARSNIPER people who boot you if you fail just once are in the majority. One of the main reasons I admired destiny was because the fan base was so friendly and it's depressing to watch that fade away.

Easy fix for this is for you and your friends that play destiny to create a clan. Friends of your friends should then join the clan. Before you know it you'll have a clan of people that you can do shit with that wouldn't be as harsh and kick you of you fail once or twice

Why has everyone on destiny become douches all the sudden?
You must be new around here.
-
1 ReplyYou must not have been around last September. All you seen was "must be 30+, have gjallarhorn and icebreaker". It was ridiculous
-
Suck. My. Fūck.
-
All of the sudden? Reminds me of an old saying. "Welcome to the Party, Pal."
-
Come to twitch fam. Destiny community on twitch are a lot friendlier
-
"all of a sudden?" So glad that I've found a core group of nice people who just like to have a laugh and chat now.
-
1 ReplyFrom what I've seen, most people have been elitist from the get-go. I think it's a symptom of the in-game social function being broken. We can interact with hundreds on the forums and LFG but only a dozen in Destiny.
-
6 RepliesIf you want to run blind, find people who want to do likewise. Otherwise, watch a YouTube video!! Seriously, I made a post asking for experienced people earlier and got two new guys who not only didn't know what to do, but couldn't play well at all! While waiting for another guy to join, we had a 290 spontaneously join with a Hawkmoon and a shotgun equipped to fight oryx!! Our whole team cracked up at the thought of using that load out! I was 293 my first time around and had some experienced guys teach me, but I had already educated myself and played through plenty of strikes to get my sniper, primary, and heavy to where I could play efficiently! If people don't have the courtesy to prepare, then they just shouldn't raid.
-
You'll find someone like that in almost every online game. Its inevitable. Don't let them ruin your experience though. For the most part, I've met some pretty cool people who I add to my friends list and play with. As for the others, well:
they can eat oryxs ass
-
All of a sudden? Ha ha haaa. They've always been douches. Last year it was Gjallarhorn, this year it's light levels. Clans are the way to go.
-
I joined one team from LFG who said you needed the raid emblem to prove you completed it. I informed them I will keep my 'The Pitiless Bargain' equipped instead. Then I got booted

All of a sudden?

4 RepliesBest thing to do is find a good clan that is active and willing to help, my clan that I proudly started and with the help of my other Co leaders don't mind helping members run a fresh kings fall once we complete it every week or we bring a few guys that are new to it when we make our run. We took a 282 that had never been in the raid and had our first wipe at the sister's, you can easily separate the d bags and adults in this game more so just by looking at the fourms and what people post, the player's willing to help others and show them the ropes are far and few in-between.
-
It's mainly all the CoD kids and the "entitled" douche people who do that. Not I find are still nice enough. But not like it was in Vanilla, DB, and HoW
-
Man people were d-bags when the other two first came out, skolas too. "must be 34 with Max gally" was the norm
-
Bump im with u miss year one vog ad Crota were the best
-
Bungie fix the glitches. I spent hours failing the final stage of the oryx raid and the damn game boots me out of the only successful run my raid team of randoms had. This suckz. Figure it out.
-
Just a bunch of try-hard d-bags at first. You let them get off, then they move on.
-
1 ReplyThis happened the first month of every raid. Give it some time and it will go back to normal.
-
Since when has this community ever been friendly? It's been like this since VOG. How could you expect different now?
-
There are bad apples and then there are the 5 people who were hanging out at court of oryx taking turns with antiquated runes and helping everyone. Just luck of the draw
-
Yup. People gotta start somewhere. The raid is too new for demands like this. Me and my friends play on 360. Anybody want non-douches add me. I have yet to run the raid because we don't have 6 and lfg is just ridiculous.
-
I haven't noticed any changes. Before ttk people were demanding level 32/34 for vog with max gjallarhorn. Same for crota Same for poe Hasn't really changed much
-
There are plenty of good players left. Me and a buddy needed to finish the raid from golgoroth, found a group of guys on lfg who explained everything to us for each of the fights. We beat it with ease. Awesome experience.
-
For me it's just people being elitist about beating the raid and how easy it is. It's easy for SOME people; not the majority. Get off your high horse. -_-
