Does it seem to anyone else that everyone back when vault of glass and Crota was the hardest raid people were a lot friendlier? Sure there were a few bad apples, but they were mocked by everyone. Now it seems like the MUST BE 999+ LIGHT WITH 3000 DAMAGE GJALLARSNIPER people who boot you if you fail just once are in the majority. One of the main reasons I admired destiny was because the fan base was so friendly and it's depressing to watch that fade away.

I have my own group, but I would hate having to do lfg. So many jack offs that think they are destiny gods. I've played with guys that get pissed at others for dying, then they die and blame someone for not shooting an ad. I get pissed when guys belittle the other players too.

I was doing the exotic sword strike and got booted cuz I was a higher light Lvl then the 2 by like 3 next group we did it in like 15 min

Don't give up hope in humanity. I found a great group of randoms for the raid last night. Great guys

Start up your own lobbies. Your lobby, your rules. Personally I wouldn't invite you if you were under 295 light. That's because it's MY lobby and MY rules. LF3M must bunny hop at ALL TIMES. No speaking English. Must be playing on a male awoken character with pink hair.

It is like this on every game it seems. Sadly that's how it has evolved over time.
-
The biggest factor is time investment and the fact that the game has become a race lol Like you have the casuals, which is the group I now belong to, who are a lot more easy going and friendly... Then you have the guys who ranked to 40 the first second TTK came out, completed all the missions and quests the first day and beat the raid the day that came out as well. I used to belong to this camp. These guys are racing with each other and so they don't got time to fail even if they themselves suck.

The new has worn off and everyone true faces are shown.

Not sure they are the majority. I've found plenty of guys who are helpful and fun to play with. One of those guys let me join his fireteam yesterday and the group basically carried me through Oryx.
-
I think its mainly us from the United States that are like that. Anytime I play with someone from Australia or New Zealand they are always very friendly

1 ReplyAll the sudden? Man sadly to say it's been like this since day one....

The streaming, and videos on how to do everything. It used to be just be nice get lucky and play with a good group who helps everyone. Now it's more, why don't you know what to do didn't you at least watch a video. P.s. I am that guy lol

This elitist trend will fade don't worry it happens on release of every new raid

Ppl just suck, they think the game is all about having the highest light level being the elite players that do the most damage but they forget to have fun

9 RepliesPlain and simple most the people that play destiny are not good and nobody wants to carry you look the raid up learn how to do it then maybe somebody will actually want to play with you

It would seem that after a year of the game being out, you would of found a few people who are likeminded as you that you could call a 'friend', and then play with on a semi-consistent basis. Soooo maybe the problem is you bud? Not saying you suck or anything but sometimes if 10 people call you a asshole, are you an asshole? Self reflection is a strong skill to possess. I could be wrong too, and maybe WE are just all the assholes. P.S. I have a clan if you wann join. we raid and shit too. sometimes we play crucible even. lol. But no salty-ness!!!

People only care about the reward from the raid, want to do it fast but with little effort to enjoy it, and when people are learning the raid it's not good enough people are mean and nerf hungry, still wonder what happened to the time when people would help people who asked a question instead of calling them a stupid noob cause they didn't know
