The U.S. is much stronger, but conquering Russia would be improbable, and of course, Russia could use or threaten to use nukes. In a smaller scale war, it would be about who cares more (probably Russia).

Use logic. The United States has enough nukes to destroy the entire planet 9 times. Russia has more total nukes but less operational so let's say they can destroy the world 6 times. I'm not very good at math but the planet burning 15 times over seems like a shitty situation for everyone. I am a proud American. Use your -blam!-ing brain. MAD= mutually assured destruction is going to happen. If one WMD is launched it's over. The planet dies.
