All the geniuses said that week 2,. I was happily running around with Thunderlord and G-Horn then. Guess they were wrong. Swords are completely worth the spot. Started leveling up my other 2 characters so I could get the other 2 elements.

I bought Ghorn week 2 and ignored the forums cause what do they know about a game they've played as much or less than me. I'm keeping my dark - drinker because it's badass and clears ads and majors in seconds. *cough* knight at Oryx *cough*

2 RepliesBolt caster Aggressive tracking and more shots than any launcher with the devastation to match. The thing shreds any over shield regardless of burn. I'm sure all 3 are great, BC is the only one I've acquired thus far.

My team was having trouble with some parts of the raid and being able to deal enough damage so I ran Dark Drinker through a good portion of the raid; used it on the Warpriest to wipe the Hallowed Knights(1 super, 1 normal swing), ran it against the Ogres and Relic Knight during Crota(1super=25% damage against Ogres) this was when I was 294 light.

9 RepliesSwords are fun. But for 90% of boss fights (get stomped) and the RAID they are pretty useless compared to a good lmg.

Swords are awesome. Lets you run around with high dps weapons like scouts and snipers. They provide a shield and anything close can just be shredded

I've actually moved away from rocket launchers and machine guns just to have my exotic sword. They work good in tight situations when you need high damage in close quarters. Also I find myself using the sword block more and more.

Bolt caster is the only 1 worth a damn that doesnt require closing the distance, the rest are trash

My sword works wonders even for the raid you can save yourself with the blocking and for majors it just destroys them i am always using my sniper on the bosses anyway.

The 2 Knight bosses in CoO(Mengoor and Crau-udug or whatever) are my playthings, even on the Stolen Rune level. 4-5 swings with that uppercut and they're toast.
