Am I the only one who doesn't see this new loot system working Right?
I have gotten doubles triples even quads of the same exotics in a row. Multiple same raid gear pcs. Some with the same light and perks and about 6 chests from the sublime engrams and 0 helms or arms?
Edit#1 Love all the opinions guys n gals keep them coming. Here's another example for ya one guy I killed oryx with last week received 3 auto riffles at the same time none of them at 310! That was it plus it took his 20 shards for his trouble lol
Edit#2 I am a fan of the drop rates just not the drops themselves. If they were gonna re due the loot system like stated the triples and quads in a row should have been addressed.
Edit#3 Thank you all for your input and comments on this matter. Everyone has been really cool about posting there thoughts on this subject. This isn't a bungie bashing post at all. It seems about 85 to 90% of us are either un clear or not necessarily Happy with the loot system. About 10% are on the fence and 5% haven't noticed it or have gotten lucky with the rng aspect of the game. With enough posts we may get a clearer post from bungie on just How this system works. Thanks again guardians for your posts

Can't say much for the Raid gear, but exotics make some sense. Remember that most of the new exotics are tied to quests and hidden missions (Black Spindle). So I don't think there's very many RNG-based exotics that can drop.

60hrs in the ttk and not 1 exotic drop. So I buy an engram from xur and he gives me a different class helmet, I buy 2 more and get 2 same year 1 duplicates. I have the gunsmith exotic quest and need to dismantle auto rifles and in over 20 hrs playtime not 1 blue is an auto rifle or levelled high enough to upgrade my three legendary primaries. I use a three of coins and 1st ultra I kill doesn't drop any engrams. Destiny...Why do you hate me?

I got 4 hawkmoons in a row before the supercell, after that I got 2 in a row. Don't get me started about my 5 crest of alpha Lipo's on my titan that I got in a row :c

I have gotten 4 Monte Carlos, 3 4th Horseman, 4 Hawkmoons, 2 Don't touch me, 3 of the annex hunter helmet, and 2 each of the Ahamkara gloves. It's getting old getting same things over and over.

It's been working great for me when it comes to certain things. Mostly with the factions. Didn't have any FWC shaders and the first 4 times I leveled them up, I got all 4 shaders Lol

2 RepliesMy main gripe is that blues are decoding/dropping at below 290 level all the time. My primary weapons have been stuck at 296 and below for almost 2 weeks now. Even worse is the simple fact that primary weapons/engrams barley drop at all. I farmed engrams yesterday (~1.5 hours) and literally walked away with over 20 engrams, about 15 of which were armor and the rest were secondary and heavy weapons. Not one primary. Not one! How the hell am I supposed to advance if I never get upgrades? It's very frustrating honestly. Now before people misunderstand me, let me just clarify, I have no issue with the actual drop rates. I am getting a lot more engrams (purples included) now than I ever was before and it’s great. My issue is that 98% end up being useless. Also, farming = running around the dreadnaught and killing everything in sight, opening chests, summoning bosses and running the CoO.

I'm at 304 and still get the blues with 165-185 rarly i get one above 194 Got 3 hawkmoon, 3 zhalo, 2 last words, 2 red deaths (the first one i got with marks), 2 monte carlos not 1 rabbit... All engramms At least 2 were 310 so infused them

1 ReplyI've had more duplicates drop than before, I'm getting good drops more often but it's all the same thing!!!! And I always get armor hardly any weapons, I have yet to get an exotic weapon drop, the only Y2 exotic weapon I've got is truth and I bought that from the blueprint kiosk!

I've only done the raid once, but we got through all three mini bosses before Oryx, and I didn't get squat, while all my other clan members got weapons at 310, new armor, shaders, ghosts, and even artifacts. I've used over 30 ToC since the DLC has dropped, and have only gotten two exotic engrams, both of which, I already had. I get more engrams when I go to patrol and just screw around than when I run 4 or 5 heroic strikes. The Nightfall hasn't given [i][/i]anything[i][/i] to me that's worth it so far. No packages from my factions have given me anything worth putting on or even infusing. This loot system is weird.

I get about 10 engrams in one hour, 1 might, and that's a big might, be useful.

1 ReplyAround 15 of about 30 legendary engrams were class items for my hunter. I get a lot of boots, too. Suros Regime dropped twice in one day. Raid fusion rifle dropped twice in one raid attempt. Hawkmoon dropped twice although I already had it from that one green engram we got as a gift.

I've been saying this since a few days after taken king launch. I get boot engrams waaaay to often. Probably 7 out of 10. If it's not boots it's class items. I rarely get weapon engrams. Also I have handed in probably at least 25-30 legendary engrams since taken king launch and haven't had one turn exotic. Another thing I was wondering is if you can get an exotic now randomly from playing strikes anymore without the use of three of coins. To get raid ready I ground out heroic strikes for 6 straight hrs. I never had an exotic drop. I have seen them drop on 1or 2 instances. However I'm not sure if they were using the 3oC or not because they weren't in my fireteam. I played the raid up to oryx the first week and had my boots and class item drop but no weapons. So on week two I completed the raid with my 20 moldering shards and out of the whole raid I got 2 weapons. One at war priest and the other at oryx. So if I didn't have my moldering shards I would have received one weapon. Doesn't seem right to me. Another issue is duplicates I thought the loot system was supposed to not drop duplicates as often. Anyhow I hope they fix this soon because it's starting to look like a shoe store around my neck of the woods.

I keep getting arms dropping. In the raid and from exotic engrams. Also my 2 of coins drop rate is about 1 in 10.
