So I got Touch of Malice the other day and I love it, so I decided to use it during Oryx. When you have the immortality, you can use the final shot (which does double damage and never runs out) for as long as you want, so everyone can do high amounts of damage to Oryx. Do you think it will become a raid requirement?
Edit 1: 300 replies and lots of good feedback! I can tell a lot of people for want it but it may be good to use if you're the one running relic.
Edit 2: just wanna put out there that for all the people who don't have ToM, it is a very good and dependable gun. For those calling it trash, I can say with certainty that is false.
Edit 3: Jesus we're at 1100. Does anyone think it'll be extremely important in hard mode?

15 RepliesEdited by Diddy: 10/3/2015 9:31:39 PMI have almost a perfect 1000 yd stare, as well as a spindle. BY NO MEANS DO THESE SNIPERS EVEN COMPARE TO THE MALICE. Stop lying to yourself. I am a sniper at heart and they are my favorite guns in the game. THERE IS NO BETTER WEAPON FOR THE DEATHSINGERS AND ORYX. STOP Edit: Message not for OP, but for anyone who thinks different.

10 RepliesI doubt it. you don't actually want to use it for the sisters/oryx if you can avoid it snipers just do soo much more damage.
-
I posted on lfg site: 302 titan with T.o.M and black spindle....got over 30 invites with in 8 mins
-
Nah, it's not good enough for then. Outside of immortality in the shield, it's worthless. Better to just stick with black spindle of something.
-
it sucks
-
Why would it be? The only place it's good is at daughters. I out dps that gun at the first two bosses with spindle. At daughters they usually win. At oryx, he is so easy to flinch it doesn't matter. Anyone asking for specific guns needs a crutch. More than likely that person if inspected will have 1 maybe 2 completions tops.

2 RepliesSome people will no doubt ask for it. However it's not necessary to bear raid.
-
It will make hard mode easier... But it won't be a requirement unless you raid with elitist lfgers
-
It probably will for hard mode. It's not that hard to get though so it shouldn't be much of a problem
-
Collecting all the fragments in my spare time this week. Gotta get 17 more for ToM...
-
I'm sure there will be some assholes with stupid requirements. Are you new to the forums or something?
-
It already is on most lfg sites

9 RepliesAnyone who has done the raid and has the touch of malice knows that the touch of malice isn't a requirement. If it was a requirement doing the raid would be impossible. Having someone in the raid with the malice makes daughters a little easier, but doesn't give your team any more of an advantage anywhere else.

Thing is this is still better than the Gally situation. If it does become like that at least there's a direct route to getting it. With Gally you could do all your exotic drop opportunities with 3 characters every week and not get it.
-
I do more damage to each Deathsinger with the malice then others or myself using black spindle. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a requirement for harder modes.
-
No because you need to do the raid to get it
-
Nah it's good but not Ghorn op
-
1 ReplyNo, but for me, Sleeper Simulant will be the requirement
hue

jk
-
If you're carrying people who haven't done the raid yet, people should be using touch of malice if they have it
-
1 ReplyJust got it, have no idea what it does vs oryx
-
7 RepliesNo. Just like the Vex wasn't a requirement for VoG and nechro...well let's not bring up nechro.
-
1 ReplyHopefully it doesn't become another requirement for being a raid team. That would just be stupid af. ~TheGreatNike

I'm sure you meant for hardmode?

Requiring a player to have a weapon that can only be obtained from doing King's Fall in order to participate in King's Fall is just dumb. I mean sure, it's a symbol that the player has completed the raid and is competent, or has competent friends. But to say no you can't play this raid because you haven't played this raid is kinda dumb. Each raid group right now should be endeavoring to bring at least one or two players who haven't completed the raid through with them. If they're actually dumb /useless and they just don't get what's going on after constant direction boot them for sure, but give people a chance. Give yourselves a challenge. It's a great way to make new friends and heck, that lower light player who hasn't done the raid yet might just suprise you, they could even be a player with more skill, and by passing them over you are losing out on someone who can have your back in the hard mode.
