So... I think about getting Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY on release. My friend has played the previous two games and is pretty hyped. BUT! I once played Dragon Age: Origins and wasn't really into it. It was probably because of the lag on my PC (cough, 1.6 ghz cpu, 1 gb ram, 256 mb video, cough).
My question is: Is it worth for me to get DA:I? I've heard that I'll get lost because I don't know the lore, and stuff, but HOLY SH!T it's so beautiful (dank frostbite 3 engine)! Whaddaya say? ;D

1 ReplyIt's an excellent game. Don't believe the negativity surrounding it. There are optional quests that involve collectibles and going from point A to point B, but the side quests, character interactions and main quest make up for that and more. One of my favorite games for sure. Be warned though, if you didn't like Origins you may not like this game. This isn't Mass Effect (even though there are similarities).

Yes. Do it now.

Well if you like mmo style combat you may like it. I thought it was boring personally.

So its a great game and you definitely can't go wrong! But I don't believe there is much of a coop if that is what you are hoping for with your friend. Witcher 3 is also a great single player rpg experience though.

Not the strongest game in the series but there is some enjoyment in the game.

1 ReplyMeanwhile Witcher 3 is still amazing..I still haven't beaten it yet and I bought it day one

If you like grind quests and fetch quests go for it.

Game of the year edition will be value for money. I wouldn't worry about not playing the previous games, it plays very different to them anyway. If you really feel lost you could go onto the Dragon Age Keep on the Bioware website and craft a world state from there.

Completely worth it. Very fun game

It's worth every penny.

It has sub-mediocre gameplay, with a story line that barely makes it worth it. Quite a few bugs, the maps are large but with very little in them. It's not my type of game, but apparently some people enjoy it very much.
