THREE OF COINS IS A WASTE AS IS THE STRIKES
So ive been grinding strikes since the TTK update, i have easliy run 50 or so strikes, all on the heroic play list and ive gotten NOTHING at all, a few legendaries but thats it, and now with the THREE COIN nerf I cant even get an exotic to drop, and ive blown through 6, F this update man

I see them as a bit of extra fun. See an ultra. Pop 3 of coins. Take them out. See if an engram drops. I generally don't farm in this game unless there's no alternative (the hadium parts you obviously have to farm, and right at the start you had to farm regular materials). If you aren't farming, there's been no change. Even speed running a strike you can still get two in under ten minutes.

You know heroics don't affect three of coins drop rate.

They weren't nerfed if you're using them on strikes. Patch notes are your friend.

Do taken champions they will also drop exotics

Regular vanguard strikes are better you get better loot and they're shorter heroics are only for marks during the week

2 RepliesThe Three of Coins has basically replaced buying an Exotic Shard for 7 Strange Coins. The drop on average for most has been 1 in 5 3oC's. Exotic Shards are more useful - and therefore more in demand - than they were in Y1 so rather than just selling them, Bungie is now making you put in a little work to farm them. You have a chance to get something you don't have, but if you get a duplicate (often) it's just a useful exotic shard.

I got 3 exotics yesterday from Three of Coins. Lel

Did 5 strikes and got a special exotic engram along with the darkblade fusion. Engram turned into Hereafter.

Out of 13 3 of coin I had 1 exotic. That's from using them properly in strikes and in the raid.

Got exotic special engram last night turned out to be 4th horseman did 5 heroic strikes

think I've spent about 25 or so coins and had 4 exotics drops so far. 1 helmet, 1 chest, 2 special weapons either way it works out cheaper than buying them directly from xur, and it seems the average drop rate seems to be about 6 coins for an exotic, but it can sometimes more sometimes less. we are all still slaves to RNG lol

Been getting a pretty good drop rate for exotic engrams myself, used 5 last night got 2 drops.

1 ReplyThink with math 7 coins get you 5 three-of-coins Buying an exotic from Xur is like 13 for armor and 19 for weapon right? (Something close anyway moving on) So the average drop rate should be about 10 three-of-coins to get one to be fair, and if you look at the forum, most people tend to get at least one exotic every 4-6 three-of-coins. I think the odds are fantastic for having the chance to get ANYTHING

The drop rates in strikes is BS but it works well in Oryx fight. I got two engrams in like 3 three of coins
