Year 1 guns banned from year 2 games
Hello fellow guardians. How much do you love playing new maps with a new sub class?
Yah me too, know what I don't love...at all? Picking up the spark only to have my face melted by fellwinters or judgment 6 4 or part crasher.
This is year 2 if you are playing that game type you spend 40$ minimum only to be a dick and use the same old guns?
I would love nothing more than to have all year one guns and armour banned from all year 2 crucible events...or, have a constant game Playlist that enables gear disadvantages so your party crasher does 100 less damage than my 270 blue shotgun.
Moral of the story is piss off this that year one trash.

Blame the scopes on the Year Two rifles. Omolon and Häkke snipers have that obstructive reticle that screw up my headshots. So there's only one sniper worth using in the Year Two lineup (1,000 Yard Stare) without crazy sights.

12 RepliesI genuinely love how upset people get about using year 1 weapons in Crucible. It's hilarious. "It's year 2 move on". You're right, the money they spent on year 1 isn't allowed to mean anything anymore. They also aren't allowed to use the best guns to their advantage or they're "scrubs". You're the same people who go around waiving their precious beta emblems around because it shows you're "veterans". Yet, here you are, bashing people for using "veteran" weapons because you can't manage to counter them. Be bitter. It will never solve your problems - and I love it.

I'll be honest with you. I've forced myself into using Y2 weapons only because I want to be ready for ToO, so yeah I stashed away my Messenger, perfectly rolled Ash Factory, extra heavy boots and so on. But, let's face it, Y2 is rubbish compared to Y1, so each time I go against a team still on Y1 I'll have to admit I struggle. And yeah it's a bit infuriating that they're giving themselves an advantage in doing that but I really can't blame them.

Our year one weapons are trophies of our wars from the Golden Age. If I see you looming the crucible, expect no mercy from my adept Messenger. Hell I saved the y1 trials set for my hunter just to wear on special pubstomping ocassions <('.'<) (^'_'^) (>'.')>

Yeah, those guys practically force me to use my own Y1 weapons (Messenger, Felwinter, Gjallarhorn, full-on scumbag mode). If I want to win and complete that Shaxx questline anytime soon I will do it.

That is like saying, don't use the old subclasses because they are year 1. Mida Multi tool is an amazing weapon and always will so I will continue to use it just like my Longbow Synthesis as well and many others that I have saved.
