How to get the Sleeper Simulant!
You do [b]not[/b] get the sleeper Simulant from Eris!
You receive it from collecting those fusion rifles you have to turn in for rep at the Gunsmith.

I have received about 5 of the fusion rifles you turn in to the gunsmith. It gives 200 rep. I believe you turn multiple fusion rifles in to make a huge one, the sleeper simulant.
Please stop spreading that you need 50 pieces to make it. That is for another gun I don't know the name of, sorry.

1 ReplyJust got the fourth one today, during the heroic daily mission on phobes. The other three I got from patrols, two on earth and one on the moon. Personally, I think there is another part that starts the "official" quest, but its locked or possibly not even in the game yet. bungie is holding it back until people have played more of TTK. You know, get people to play TTK and enjoy it, not just rush through and get all the exotics as fast as possible. It isnt even the third week and already Bungie had to nerf the three of coins because people were abusing it for fast exotics.

1 ReplyGet 50 of those fusion rifles from the triangular drops (random) turn them in to banshee. You'll get a quest "Retribution of lost" - Kill Hive majors with fusion rifles 0% (Percents, kill them quickly. Every Ten minutes decreases by 5% . 50 in total) - Talk to banshee - Complete ten heroic strikes with a fusion rifle equipped -Talk to banshee -Power the gun (kill Servitors) -Talk to Banshee (The gun will be corrupted) -Find Golden age power supplies across Earth, moon, mars, and venus (5 for each) - Talk to cayde (he will give you a level 42 quest mission) - Kill Oryx Fanatic (requires Raid completion first) and Pick up the Shard - Talk to Banshee, he will give you the sleeper simulant It comes off as classified and no grimoire card like the Touch of Malice

Oh that's what those weird named fusion rifles I keep finding are? I thought it was for a fusion rifle for Warlocks, but it's for a heavy. Interesting.

I think you may need to get to a certain gunsmith rank and the fusion rifles then make the quest after that :P

I've turned in about 5 of those the first couple days of playing. Haven't seen 1 since.

Unless you currently have it in your possession, you can't be sure of any of that. It sure appears that it has something to do with those relics, but if Bungie threw a curveball and had us go through Eris, Levante, Zavala, Speaker, hell even the sweeping Exo in the hallway... Would it be the most shocking thing Bungie has ever done?

Is there anyway to see which ones you've handed in? Each one you hand in has nunber at the end but I don't remember which ones I handed in.
