The endgame dilemma is about to be fixed
Shit needs to stop. I'm getting too much hate because you all are only taking bosses into account, and not crowd control, which the Gally sucks ass at. Let's all go our separate ways. I'm going to try to delete this. Call me a noob all you want, because it isn't going to change one simple thing.
You obviously suck if you depend on that thing. Meanwhile we who don't will go and be able to use every other exotic in the game, proving our skill, and laugh when its useless against the new bosses that aren't bullet sponges. The purpose was to address elitism, and I see it's an issue that will remain. I'm ignoring this so I can stop saying the same thing, not because I believe I lost.
Also if you shoot the HoC from above you'll see how I got those 30 kills.
Edit: Damn necro. Anyways, I got a Gally. Definitely still a crutch. Two rockets to the Winter Kell and a couple of Pulses. Definitely better for a single enemy. Still prefer my HOC for clearing adds.

I agree that being able to kill bosses without gjallerhorn makes you a better pve player, a lot of people use it just because its easier including me. If you can stay alive and be able to do a reasonable amout of damage to a boss there should be no problem allowing you be in the fireteam, to do skolas, atheon, crota etc. I had this same problem before I got gjallerhorn. If you ever need a fireteam that accepts people with no gjallerhorn message me and I see what I can do. Good luck man you'll get one eventually! !!

1 ReplyIt's not going to be fixed. Whatever is the best weapon for a certain situation will always be favored. Sorry that some people excluded you from activities because of it. PoE is Bungie's fault for taking away the burns on Skolas. People wouldn't use Gjallarhorn on arc or void burn, if they did then you probably shouldn't be playing with them anyway.

2 RepliesIt does the most damage per rocket and has a fast reload speed so you can fire all your rockets super fast. Its the strongest heavy weapon right now anything else is second tier thats why its being nerfed to bring it closer to the other heavy exotics

I like my Hunger for a legendary rocket launcher but it's not even close to a Gally as far as what damage it does. Once you have one you would change your thought process about it. I will use Hunger sometimes so I can use an exotic in my primary or special slot or Truth for Void Burn situations. It doesn't have to be Gally all the time but your original comment is just wrong.

It does more damage than hunger and that's why people want it. Not because it makes you a better player not because it means you're better. Simply because it makes the activity faster.

I sucks that's happened to you and I hope you get to feel ghorn at its full strength before the nerf. Good luck

2 RepliesHow old are you, and how old was the person who made the comment? I'd imagine one or both of you are younger. I have never heard such a comment in any hard raid or skolas match, but I surround myself with similar aged guardians(30 - 40). If I heard anyone say that, id get rid of them on the spot. I say the opposite. When people ask me to help them with Skolas, they ask if not having a Gally is alright, I laugh and tell them it's not needed at all. I didn't use mine once the last time I beat him. The other 2 didn't have one, so I figured lets do it without any mighty Ghorns to prove my point. This won't change, the gally will still be highly desired, unless some new weapon takes that coveted spot. if that happens, it'll be "you're a noob, you don't have *insert new weapon name here*". Some weapon will always be the in the spotlight. Bungie has made this happen, and human nature always demands the best. It also beings out the immaturity in a lot of them.

The final boss in TTK periodically splits into 8 mini versions of himself when rocketed. They are weak enough to be killed by Wolfpack Rounds. The only viable weapon is Gjallarhorn.

9 RepliesWith ruin wings and heavy ammo boots, you can get 7 rockets per heavy ammo brick with Gjallarhorn equipped. Only combo I've seen do that
