As for me, I'm on Xbox and I don't usually mind timed exclusives- it makes for good business deals between developers and corporations. But I've never experienced anything as ridiculous as Destiny's timed exclusives. I mean, a full year? And Xbox doesn't get all the DLC either? It's absolutely inexcusable, especially considering Xbox owners pay the same price for the game/DLC.
I really hope the next Destiny installments don't have any type of exclusivity for either console.
Edit: PLEASE DON'T PARTICIPATE IN CONSOLE WAR IN COMMENTS. Thanks.

1 ReplyI think the whole reason behind this ps exclusive has to do with bungie and Xbox having a falling out, and Xbox essentially stealing halo from them, or forcing them to leave it behind. Kind of a hard pill to swallow, and I don't blame them for the exclusives. I read an article on the split a long time ago, wish I could find it for reference.

I started on ps4 and then my ps4 broke so while waiting for the ps4 to get fixed I got it on Xbox one after receiving my ps4 after a couple of weeks it broke again tried to get it fixed but it didn't work now I'm waiting till the batman ps4 and I don't feel like leveling and getting exotics again so now I'm butt hurt and I don't like console exclusives #not fair

1 ReplyComet being a September release was in the same leak that said HoW would be march 19th. Not happening in September

A year is overboard I feel bad for people on Xbox

As an Xbox user, no they shouldn't. Pat of good business is having the power of choice for your investment. Exclusivity should be extended indefinitely for as long as Sony is willing to pay the price for it.

5 RepliesEdited by CapoBlue: 5/4/2015 10:00:37 PMIt's ok for Xbox to have exclusives but every other console has to share their games to them because they are like spoiled babies.

As an Xbox player, yes its frustrating, and even though getting the content eventually, it's still kind of a pain to wait. Especially with how repetitive this game is, any content that mixes it up even a little is wanted But that's not the problem I have with exclusives. The real problem is the whole console war thing as a whole. I understand it's a business and business will do what they can to make money. But it creates a rift with us guardians. We should stand together and face the darkness as one, rather than be divided. At the end of the day, we're all gamers looking to have fun. Shouldn't that be what matters most?

It would be obnoxious to be permanently behind

Looks like PlayStation are the main platform for Cod this year too, everyone is jumping ship.

5 RepliesNo because Halo

Yes because Comet is the biggest DLC to date for this game and when it comes it will be the evening factor where everything becomes the same where Xbox can catch up to Playstation because for Comet Xbox will get what Playstation has for exclusives so when Comet comes it will just be which console you want to play

Yes the only reason is so I can buy hawk moon.

Exclusivity should end when Sony stops paying for exclusivity. It is no ones fault, not Activision not Bungie not Sony. They all made business decisions in order to try and make money as a business. Not one of us has a Right to any content. Buy it or don't. They haven't cheated anyone out of content, as many claim. They gave us a game that,if you play more than 60 hours, you have paid $1 per hour for form of entertainment. Very few things are that inexpensive. Just my two cents.

Sony paid extra for the exclusives. Its microsofts fault... Js

We ps user and xbox era paid the same ammount and got the same ammount. Sony bought some extra stuff for us. So no one actually got lees for their money. Technically

2 RepliesAs I PS4 player I say yes. If they make another expansion it shouldn't have any exclusives. I'd rather everyone get the same content at the same time. No one likes exclusives.
-
The exclusives for PS probably would have only kept me playing for another two weeks. And now with there being no raid in HoW I see myself saving the twenty bucks to go towards something else.
-
It is quite stupid but at the end of the day it's business and business will always put a middle finger up at one of the parties

3 RepliesActivision is one giant money grub. Playstation paid for exclusive content. That's business. Players are still buying the content, so it's a win for Activision. Microsoft could have negotiated a better deal for their players, but they didn't. It's ugly, but it's business. We live in a globalized, capitalist economy. As long as this is a way to maximize profits, game companies will do it.
