What do you all use to counter Thorn users in Iron Banner? I personally use Vex

Bad Juju for most maps, Mida for longer range maps ex Shores of Time and The Hawkmoon for up close maps with Felwinters Sniper

1 ReplyGenerally I don't counter Thorn....I just take 1 or 2 shots directly in the face and fall down dead....then I run back into battle and repeat this process..it's not ideal for my k/d ratio, but it is what happens regardless lol! It's a fantastic gun and I can't wait to complete the bounty so I can shoot myself in the face to save the enemy the hassle ;-)

4 RepliesNothing! There is nothing that can one on one beat thorn. It is by far the best and most powerful gun in the game. Dare I say OP.

I only just recently started encountering Thorn and it somehow doesn't kill me most of the time, the poison affect is just annoying. It's a cool gun and I have no exotic weapons as I don't have much time to play lol, so I counter with my Stranger's Pulse Rifle which I still love. Working for Bad Ju Ju now :).

4 RepliesMY BRAINS Thorn is a strong gun but it is not without its exploitable weaknesses. It is harder to hit if you are at long distance ranges. It's hip fire accuracy is not all that great. And, because of the rate of fire, a lot of average players has trouble hitting an extremely mobile target with it. Your best bet at defeating a Thorn player is to get in his face and melee the hell out of him. Of course, don't charge straight at the guy. But, when you get into Mayweather style hugging distance, your two melee hits will kill him faster than his Thorn poison burn. Warlocks have the easiest time doing this, especially with the flame shield perk that comes with their melee hits. Be like Mayweather. Hug them and don't let go.
