I'm curious as to how many of you are looking forward to re- grinding new guns and leaving your hard earned VOG and Crota weapons behind. Another round of weapon grinding may be the final straw for me but, how do the rest of you feel?

4 Repliesunfortunatly I have the season pass. So I will end up trying it out. But the rest of the gaming world can thank the Activision/Bungie/Corporate A hole trio, for effectively killing the pre-order and season pass market.

Seeing as I don't really have to grind anything else, it would be nice to play with a few new toys. I like to hunt for good perks. I'm currently hunting a sniper with the ability to pick up ammo by shooting it. I don't remember the name
-
Bungie has already said that this won't be happening again.

6 RepliesEdited by StrictlyTy: 4/11/2015 9:01:52 AMI still use vision, fatebringer, praedyths, found verdict. Soooooo...and you realize reforging resets the progress so you're still grinding a new weapon.
-
Edited by St0ckbr0ck3r_: 4/11/2015 9:11:23 AMI'm not. And I won't. Almost done with becoming legend. H0w needs to step up. I'm sorry but I've played SNES games with more content. Pvp and TUESDAY reset are the only reason I still insert the disk

and they already said that it wont reset exp level its not as bad as dark below... I don't mind resetting exotics but I hate releveling id level the no land beyond if I wasn't lazy that gun is BEAST everyone uses it wrong its more like a really slow really powerfull scout rifle rather then a crappy sniper
-
idc if the damage cap is raised to 9999 im sticking with the vision of confluence as my main weapon and bungie cant stop me!
-
not sure how I'm going to react if we have to re-grind everything again. Happy to pay for a modification or something but start over for a second time? Ugh
-
Didn't vote because I don't like any choice there. I bought the expansion pass and that is why I will play HOW. I spent my money, so I may as well play. Plus, for all of it's major frustrations and issues, Destiny is world's of fun in actual gameplay. If HOW is a tiny pittance of story missions, and a 100% reset of all of my exotics and other stuff, then I will not buy comet or other further expansions. Having said that, since we are in theory going to be increasing damage ratings from 331 to ~365, then I can see re-leveling the last three or four damage bubbles. How else do we expect to increase damage if not by leveling damage bubbles on the weapons? It should take some work on our part. However, if all of the perks are wiped out, too, then I'll be pissed. Do not want to lose Wolfpack rounds, mark of the devourer, etc since it takes so much freakin time to do it the first time.

Edited by The Dude: 4/9/2015 8:00:09 PMThey better(should) gift every player a 5 stack of every telemetry.
-
Edited by Fox: 4/9/2015 5:31:22 PMYea they get it wrong this time and a lot of people will never go there again, I had/ have preordered both dlc if i had knowing what i know now...... Well if rather file my toe nails.

6 RepliesI'll do the raid 3x. After that, it's up to bungee. If they pump out this sh1t drivel again, I'm sure me and my friends will bounce. I'd rather they didn't ever release how...and get back on a working title. How can you program the future if the machine you are on is broken? Fix Destiny and The Dark Below first. Don't even bother with HOW, unless it's perfection. We won't settle for anything less at this point.

8 RepliesEdited by FightinFinn 2-7: 4/8/2015 7:58:31 PMA famous video game character once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and over, expecting a different outcome." Regrinding weapons is insane! I know Einstien said it first! I did it for relevance.

I have lost allot of friends from Destiny, because of what Bungie thought would have been a good idea "To Regrind". Bungie showed allot of disrespect to the players that went out and bought the game on day 1. The players spent HOURS leveling up their weapons and armor, only to have to do it again, in the name of money. I believe that NO player should go through "The grinding" again. They should be able to continue leveling up their weapons from where its at or buy the fully upgraded weapons at the cost of Glimmer and shards whether exotic or radiant. If bungie desires to make players regrind their weapons and armor, then they stand chance in loosing even more players to this game. Yes they already made their money from the sale of the game, but they will loose the players respect and that can be a domino effect.
-
Yup looking forward to it. If you've ever played borderlands legit you would too.
-
If they make me regrind my weapons then it's bb destiny 4 me
-
3 Repliessure beats talking to my wife, yup I'll grind again.
-
2 RepliesHope not.....HOW will be my last stop with Destiny should if they reset the exotic weapons n armor again. Currently the weapons are no fun....since The Great Nerf....
-
New guns are always welcome! :D
-
I don't mind the new weapons...but not the exotics. I'm already hooked on NeverWinter, so HoW better blow my mind. I love Destiny, but they have to step their game up ah lil.
-
3 RepliesYeah destiny's 10 year plan is going to come to an end with HoW. Bb Destiny :)
-
The regrind is one of the main things that is keeping me apprehensive about the future of Destiny. I don't know if I'm going to want to regrind the same stuff every couple of months.
-
4 RepliesHoW is going to have to have some very good content to make me even think about anymore dlc I did hear that the exotics will not be re-rolled this time around
-
4 RepliesEdited by ParasiticFilth: 4/8/2015 3:24:47 PMIn order to gain new addicts, Bungie will reset their current addicts back to zero. This game has to be approachable for new blood, or the revenues from Destiny would not grow. Leveling for newbs will be easier, despite Bungie's apology to the hardcore players. A player's ego must be rubbed with positive reassurance, basically stating that they are a true bad ass, just like everyone else. Hence the consistent positive reinforcement by score numbers, brightly flashing across the screen to pat you on the head, yet rewards are randomly given freely. Exotics might go untouched, but your raid weapons and legendaries will be obsolete as soon as the House of Wolves drops. An artificial gold rush is in order, after months of starvation. The rats must be eager to feed off whatever meager bits of nourishment are divided out. Feast or famine. This is how you get players addicted, an exasperating high after a long low.

Them ascendent energy we complain about having to much,,yeah they'll prove to be useful.
