Finally have all four Dead Orbit shaders!
So it has been one of my greatest objectives in this game to get all four Dead Orbit shaders and I finally made it the other day when I opened my final Dead Orbit package and recieved The Hanged Man at long last.
I got Revenant at rank 14, The Nowhere at 20ish, Bittersteel at 35ish, and just got The Hanged Man at 65!
It's taken months of grinding, determination and disappointment (woo! more energy!) but I got there!
I might try getting the New Monarchy ones now!
Edit: Thanks for all the comments guys (even the ones who loathe me right now) I'm so happy to achieve this I just had to share it with everyone! Due to a few requests I've made a video showcasing them all on my hunter! :)

Nice. Although I prefer substance 321 or broadsword for my main Hunter, I'm trying to grind out DO for revenant to put on my secondary guy. I got bittersteel at like level 7 and I'm at level 8 rn so it'll probably be a while since I get it lol [spoiler]:([/spoiler]

3 RepliesI've ranked up dead orbit on two characters a combined number of 56 times and I have gotten the fermi solution, the hanged man x2 and bittersteel. All I want is a good venation III and revenant shader and I'm off to fwc. (I do NM on my hunter it's almost rank 30)

I have two different characters levelinf d.o one with new monarchy. First character; level 20 no shader. Second character; got a shader a few days ago at level 10. Thinking of changing factions on the character at rank 20 for d.o as there might be better luck with n.m or f.w.c

14 RepliesIt was actually my observation of how obsessed we get over the colors we can make our characters that made me realize how shitty this game is. I mean, why should it take MONTHS of grinding just for an aesthetic change to a character? Maybe some of you disagree, but I stopped pouring my hours into the time sink that is Destiny precisely because the rewards (and for me, experiences too) don't match the time put in. Not in the slightest (which is super upsetting because Bungie did an amazing job with Halo)

That's awesome dude. I leveled my dead orbit the other night (i'm a 14) and 5 of those little squares popped up. I was so ripe in anticipation and sure as s#!t, I got my furst shader! The Hanged Man. I yelled out in excitement like a super dork. What was your reaction?
