70 kills in "control?" Seriously?
Just saw a video on YouTube of a guy getting 70 kills in control and he was bashed more so on not capturing zones. Personally, I didn't think it was impressive (hawkmoon, p.revenge and j. hammer) but 70 kills is no small feat. Thoughts?
Edit 1: find me on PS4 you cheerleaders. I could use some myself.
Edit 2: I guess my stats in the crucible must be decent because I've yet to be called out on them like 99% of other OPs
Edit 3: I still don't know or can comprehend how I'm bashing the guy... again, "70 kills is no small feat" but forgive me if I'm not impressed. Too many factors were in play during the match.

5 RepliesI don't get why people would bash him or say it's not impressive. If he had 11k score he carried the -blam!- out of that team. If he defended the zones and didn't cap zones it's understandable. Hell I'm sure he went crazy positive. So the way he played is effectively better than anyone who goes negative and caps a lot of zones or even barely goes over 1 kd and caps a lot of zones. Zones are only multipliers you can literally win with one zone held.

6 RepliesI appreciate you not trying to sound biased, but you're obviously bothered because this person focused on kills rather than zones. First of all, the guns you use to get your kills doesn't matter, it's being smart, it's being comfortable with what you decide to use. Second, control is still a kill game, the majority of points comes with each kill, and zones just increase the amount of points per kill. The issue, I think you're saying, is if the person was useful or not. Personally, I would've wanted this person on my team every match, it's a shame he's on the ps4 as I'm on xbox one. He's as useful, maybe even more, as a person getting all kills and no zones, than a person getting all zones, and no kills. Now here's where things get tricky, you can't really capture zones without killing anyone, and if you're not killing anyone, you're not getting any zones. The person killing everyone not only gets points for his team, BUT also stops the other team from capturing any zones. It's two-fold.

I hit 31 kills with 4 deaths once and felt like a badass with explosions behind me. I now realize that those were not explosions...just those little poppers that you throw at the ground.

70 is pretty amazing. I think I've got 42 in a match before and I felt like I was doing all the work, about 8000 points

People don't understand how control works, 75 points per cap 125 per capture, 25 points extra per kill per flag held, 150 extra points for flag defense, 325 points per kill when you hold two points and shoot somebody off of it, also get extra points for standing on the flag and shooting people but this concept is lost by all the people running around trying to get kills

2 RepliesControl is almost entirely based on kills. Having an objective captured just adds a small multiplier to score for each kill. Control is a kill game, you can't win on captures alone

I don't like seeing people playing Control to rack up kills, that's what Clash is for.

1 ReplyHey, 70 kills is impressive regardless. That should allow his teammates to easily cap objectives so I don't get the problem. While it is an objective playlist, sometimes you just have an incredible game. My best was 42 kills in a game and I think I had 5 caps in the process.. but much more defensive related kills.

I think for a well rounded control type team there should be 1 or 2 not doing objective creating chaos on crowd control helps divert attention from objectives.
