Just saw a video on YouTube of a guy getting 70 kills in control and he was bashed more so on not capturing zones. Personally, I didn't think it was impressive (hawkmoon, p.revenge and j. hammer) but 70 kills is no small feat. Thoughts?
Edit 1: find me on PS4 you cheerleaders. I could use some myself.
Edit 2: I guess my stats in the crucible must be decent because I've yet to be called out on them like 99% of other OPs
Edit 3: I still don't know or can comprehend how I'm bashing the guy... again, "70 kills is no small feat" but forgive me if I'm not impressed. Too many factors were in play during the match.

14 RepliesIt was a member of Invigorate, the best PvP clan in Destiny. And that wasn't even their best player

1 ReplyHis team won right? If I have a guy who owns the other team while me and two others capture and hold points then I would say the guy is a champ. If his team lost then he should play more with the guys rather than camping the same spots and blowing away the other team. Its all for the win in the end since RNG doesn't care about your kdr

3 Replies70 kills? I would never be able to get that many kills in 1 match, my highest is only 23, and doubt I'll ever top that.
-
I mean let's not be harsh guys, but in this case getting kills in control is part of playing the objective. There has been a few times where my team has only one flag for the last minute and a half, yet being kill whores we managed to get the W.
-
10 RepliesWell people bash because going to control to farm kills isn't how the universal FPS game of domination should be played. You don't farm kills, you go for control points. If you want to play mainly for kills, go to rumble. But yeah 70 kills...-whistles- Not bad

5 Replies"I don't think it was very impressive" Wow. Just.... Wow.
-
3 RepliesDidn't find it impressive because he used certain weapons? Lol you are a joke.
-
Anyone bashing him for not capturing zones is fūcking stupid. Control is not domination.
-
3 RepliesI was horribly pathetic a few months ago. .33 Kd. Now it's around 1.0 although it'll take a while to get the overall avg up there. I think I've had 18 max kills. To quadruple that is impressive. He covered about 1/3 to 1/2 the team target. I wouldn't complain if he was on my team at all.
-
2 RepliesIt's not that unbelievable due to the number of people who's job is to play this game, and as a casual gamer I've been averaging 30 in iron banner.
-
6 RepliesLol you're completely jealous, just admit it.
-
2 RepliesControl is a glorified team death match. He actually helped the team out a lot with 70 kills worth of points.
-
4 RepliesMaybe if the multiplayer worked as it should it would be easier to play the objective....I mean I try to as much as possible don't grt me wrong, but it can be highly frustrating.
-
reminds of the shipment days in cod4 where no-one would touch any cap point and people would be getting 100+ kills easy.
-
10 RepliesIf your team has a guy that can get 70 kills by himself how about the other 5 get the control points so his kills mean something.
-
1 ReplyZones give your kills a multiplier. I think it's +50 points per kill per zone controlled. You don't actually need any zones to win f your team is good enough. Don't know what his ratio was but I assume with 70 kills he did his team a lot of good.
-
A lot of people seem to think control is JUST capping points and that's it. Kills mean significantly more if you even have only one point controlled rather than dying trying to take another. With a high enough team KDA you could literally win without ever capping a point. Control is still about kills plain and simple. You just have a multiplier for those kill points based on points controlled.

5 RepliesYou still have to aim that thing past the assholes with no skill using SUROS, fusion rifles or slide shotguns, and _______ heavy, with shoulder charging, and also a melee with more range than shotguns.
-
15 RepliesThose weapons+no caps=kill whore
-
Kills are the best way to get points
-
1 ReplyIf your team is good you, then should only need two caps. Not everyone needs to cap those two either. So the not capturing zones argument is retarded. This game is heavily weighed on kd. If you argue its not them you probably have a bad one.
-
6 RepliesKills matter more than caps. You can go an entire match without having a single point obtained, but as long as you have a much larger amount of kills, you're good.
-
4 RepliesI got a k/d ratio of 10.5 last night. i was actually playing the objective and lead my team to victory. personally i hate the gamers that ignore the objective and spend the entire game trying to get the most kills. but those guys cant get those high kill scores playing other modes. they need to sit their camping waiting for noobs to walk into their scope. its like hunters that hide right next to a food source to get easy kills. that's not impressive or takes any skill.
-
3 RepliesBut can they do this on hard on one sword?
-
Do people not realize that kills matter in control too? If you have two zones but are getting dominated in kills, you'll still lose.
-
Did his team win? And was he tops in points? (70 kills is impressive to me, thats more then double my best :p)
