70 kills in "control?" Seriously?
Just saw a video on YouTube of a guy getting 70 kills in control and he was bashed more so on not capturing zones. Personally, I didn't think it was impressive (hawkmoon, p.revenge and j. hammer) but 70 kills is no small feat. Thoughts?
Edit 1: find me on PS4 you cheerleaders. I could use some myself.
Edit 2: I guess my stats in the crucible must be decent because I've yet to be called out on them like 99% of other OPs
Edit 3: I still don't know or can comprehend how I'm bashing the guy... again, "70 kills is no small feat" but forgive me if I'm not impressed. Too many factors were in play during the match.

14 RepliesHaven't gone through the whole thread but Ive gone through a lot of it and I find it hilarious that every person who has said its not impressive, you click their profile and not a single one has even killed 40 (39 was the highest) and all but a couple have k/d less than 1.0. Seriously though? Seriously? Please stop embarrassing yourselves.

Without watching the video, IMO, 70 kills is impressive regardless. There's only so much time and so many points before a game will end. My top is 33 kills and that was a pretty insane game. Hell, even 21-0 in Rumble was insane.

Edited by Calen: 2/20/2015 8:01:51 PMThat's some solid work. I don't understand how ppl get mad about not capping enough... This isn't domination in CoD, where kills don't contribute to team score. Stacking up kills can help you win even if the enemy owns more zones, and frees up your teammates to move around and capture while the enemy waits to respawn. A guy that drops 70 kills is in no way shape or form hurting his team, but ppl love to nitpick/ complain.

Thoughts?[/quote] I've learned, by frequenting these forums, that the Destiny community is full of haters. A players gets 70 kills and there is some, or a few, haters haters bashing his game play. I mean, seriously, he had 70 kills, what were his team mates doing while he was killing all those people? They should have been capturing zones, that's how a team works. You have you, another hater, who attributes his success to his gun. Yes, Hawkmoon is a good gun, but it doesn't have a wolf pack perk, it doesn't track enemies. This kid earned his 70 kills, plain and simple.

1 ReplyLink? I would bet money that is like every other video of CoD or Halo or whatever gamr of amazing feats in multiplayer. Yes it does take skill, but the opponents just run in front of the guy non stop and cant land a single hit to save their moms.

2 RepliesHe had a decent lead the whole game. Why waste time capturing a point when he could get 5+ kills in that time. He had 12k points total, over 3 times as much as the next guy on his team. The only issue I could possible have with his game play is I can't stand the blink shotgunners. It did look like a lot of fun though, might have to try it out.

14 RepliesControl is not domination. Kills are paramount in control, whereas "domination" is more about objective play. Surely, if one guy could get 70 kills, the rest of his team could manage to cap a flag or two.

2 Replies70 kills even with those weapons is -blam!-ing impossible in control, so good on that guy for doing it! As for the bashing on capturing, control is a modified slayer, he was doing his job.

1 ReplyIf you have a great KD. Capturing zones is not what you should be doing. Leave that to your team. Kills are as important as the objective. Zone capturing is a good way to get yourself killed.
