Just saw a video on YouTube of a guy getting 70 kills in control and he was bashed more so on not capturing zones. Personally, I didn't think it was impressive (hawkmoon, p.revenge and j. hammer) but 70 kills is no small feat. Thoughts?
Edit 1: find me on PS4 you cheerleaders. I could use some myself.
Edit 2: I guess my stats in the crucible must be decent because I've yet to be called out on them like 99% of other OPs
Edit 3: I still don't know or can comprehend how I'm bashing the guy... again, "70 kills is no small feat" but forgive me if I'm not impressed. Too many factors were in play during the match.

Wow, damn, somebody was busy! Screw the objective, he suppressed the enemy team to let his team take the objectives
-
if your team is capping points and you are mowing down the enemies then you are doing your team a service. I'd rather have this dude capping skulls while i run and cap zones. i'd like having the comfort in knowing he is clearing the way, that way i am helping the points stack with his kills.
-
People complaining he didn't cap zones are probably just bad. Kills are all that matters in the end. If you can't get a decent k/d you probably have a hard time capping a zone. If you die 3 times trying to cap 1 zone, you gave the other team around 600 points right there. You can have a slight sub 1 KD and still be useful if you have assists and well timed caps, but don't fool yourself into thinking the guy with the 2.0+ KD isn't carrying you.

2 RepliesIMO, kills should grant less points than keeping zones
-
1 ReplyIt even says at the beginning of a control match. Capture the zones. Slay your enemy. You cannot win control without doing both. Having someone -blam!- the enemy team while your team caps zones is exactly how control is supposed to be played!
-
3 RepliesNot impressive. I hate when people don't play objectively. Many may argue that by killing people he is playing the objective but no, he is not
-
1 ReplyI saw it to and have tried my own heavy ammo conservation technique but literally everything from spawn flips to not getting supered too much has to be perfect to get over 60 kills even.
-
Control is based on what team has the most score, kills give more score with more points capped, if my team gets twice as many kills with only one point capped we can still win. It's a double objective based game mode

If someone gets 70 KILLS in a control game does it really matter what factors were in play
-
You can win control with no zones.. I do it all the time with my team of six... It's a slay fest.
-
I find it shitty. Help your f***ing team.
-
7 RepliesI'm not knocking you for not being impressed. but I read a lot of your comments and I can't help but wonder, what's the most you've done in one match?
-
1 ReplySlaying like that keeps the team of 6 away from zones. Why would u bash?
-
1 ReplyI'd like to see that game from the perspective of a player on the other team. I'm willing to bet there was a bit of lag involved. That being said 70 kills is impressive. Less so if he was playing against noobs in a one sided lag game.

1 ReplyEdited by NathanW18: 2/21/2015 3:51:50 AMEh, people don't understand that this isn't CoD. Kills are what mostly matters, even though the objectives are there. This playlist is a failure, because K/D is basically all that matters. Getting 70 kills and not winning by that much says a lot about his horrible teammates. This guy is a fantastic sniper. Very good gameplay. His use of heavy was also very good.

7 RepliesEdited by K0TA TV: 2/21/2015 3:35:49 AMGetting the kills is still getting kills, well done, but playing control and not capturing points? The -blam!-, go play TDM where it's supposed to be, cause i guarantee he won't get 70 kills when people are focused on killing him and not running to a control point and getting side winded. 1 capture? are you kidding me? He's nothing but a kill whore, people used to laugh at these in COD & BF
-
Control really is just glorified TDM so kills matter more. You can control 2/3 flags for most of the game and still easily lose the match if the other team is getting a lot of kills.
-
Edited by Mas7erBroda: 2/21/2015 4:35:15 AMIt's hard for the enemy to capture points if there is a legit slayer in the game. Just sayin.
-
1 ReplyHaha, congrats playing the objective
-
I don't mind someone like that on my team. Me and the others can take cap duty, while he keeps the other team busy with his assault.
-
3 Repliesanyone with a jolders hammer and noob enemies could do this
-
8 RepliesF this guy. It's people like that that piss me off. This isn't team death match! Not working to control zones is one thing... But this dude would take a few guys out, and then run right on through the zone without stopping to reclaim it. Not even once. Hell, considering the insane number of kills he has this game, they still didn't win by as much as you'd think. Most of the time, the team he plays for likely loses because he makes no effort to capture zones

70 kills is amazing

Edited by KamoKing: 2/21/2015 3:46:52 AMI imagine things are a lot easier with Hawkmoon, a great sniper, and a lot of heavy, all of which I do not have nor get, so I can tone down my amazement on that note :T

2 RepliesSpear is the best Sniper in the game.
