I don't know other people's chances with Lady Luck or RNGsus, but if I personally did that.... I'll just end up with more rare engrams. Plus minions have a chance to drop legendary and even exotic engrams. Take my time of an extra 5 minutes and increase my chances for better loot.

The chances are so slim that I'm better off just ignoring them. I tend to kill a lot but I don't see the point of killing those two groups of Vex before Aksor for example. Or clearing everything in the Valus Ta'Aurc Strike. There are already more or less two bullet-sponges in it that take up enough time.
