Is Eidolon Ally any good?
I have spent over 8 hours farming the Fist of Crota and still have yet to get it, is it worth wasting anymore of my time?

1 ReplyIt's fun. Really fast. Good reload. But the (target acquisition?) isn't too good. It's hard for me to get on the target but once I do it's good and stable. Just a little jumpy trying to get on sight. Is that what TA is? I need to look for detailed explanations for the perks. Some of them I'm not real sure of the difference. Especially the scopes. Sometimes nothing changes stat wise making it tough to pick

1 ReplyAll luck of the draw. My buddy got it fairly quickly the first time, and he got it again tagging along with me while I tried for it. I spent at least 4 to 5 hours on Fist of Crota. LOAD, KILL, ORBIT, REPEAT. I eventually got it. If you're already Rank 3 with Eris then upgrading the Husk to Eidolon Ally should take no more than 45 minutes. Eidolon Ally is just a Legendary Auto Rifle. Decent, but don't expect Exotic awesomeness. The real allure is that it can get you Necrochasm, which will be as awesome as the Vew Mythoclast seemed (before it was surpassed in damage by 2.0 Legendaries, but I digress).

1 ReplyI dont think it is worth hours of farming. Although I didnt try it for 8 hours like you, I did it 4 hours and no drop. Before hard raid and the upgrade to exotic it look like pretty every other legendary weapon to me. Sure, it is not bad according to those who have upgraded it to purple, but the stats look far from amazing.. That being said I think the gun itself is ok or maybe even nice but not worth farming hours for it. You will get a drop sooner or later and in the end you will have to beat crota on hard mode to make it actually awesome

It's pretty damn handy. Especially if you look at how it's perks specialize it. It's a CQB gun. Not gonna win any awards for sniping, but in a short-range fight, the thing kills pretty damn well.

I didn't even noticed when I got it :), when I Iooked at my inventory and was like "Yo, cool design". I killed 500 hive and looked this gun up on YouTube and was amazed how lucky I am.

It's about as good as any AR that had max fire rate and zero impact. If you like tickling guardians in the Crucible, then this is the gun for you.

1 ReplyOnly 323 attack power and mag is too small at the moment. I haven't upgraded anything but the max attack power of 323 would convince me not to keep it as a legendary if that's your plan. If you want the exotic go for it. If you want a legendary I would look for something else.

It's not that good especially in PVP you tend to shoot a full clip into someone which will leave a slither of energy then you get killed reloading

It's fun to use in patrol and low level things but it's not really viable in the higher level stuff, just have to wait and see how good necrochasm is

Not a very good weapon and Necrochasm probably won't be much better, as it's basically an Eidolon Ally with Firefly. If the Necrochasm has a bigger magazine though, it'll be useable.

I hate it. Low impact high rof guns are useful for thrall and that's about it and even then can't hold a candle to hard light (which is meh for an exotic). Don't rush to get it

1 ReplyDepends on what you want. If you' like Atheon's Epilogue.....keep farming. You're going to like it. But if you dislike Dr. Nope, AE, and all other SMG-type ARs....then you might want to reconsider. Its an close-quarters, area defense weapon designed to deal with the kind of fighting you see a lot in Crota's End. If you're looking for a more 'all-purpose" weapon, you're going to be unhappy.
