So it's basically a weekly ban ?
So because some people either refuse to buy the dlc or don't have the money like myself they are stuck without anything to do this week ? Not being able to do the weekly completely screws me and all other people that haven't got the dlc. If I've payed my £60 then why should I be restricted to taking part in activites ? Am I just being moody or nah?

While I do not think it unfair of Bungie to simply add the new content (which is locked if you didn't pay the admission fee) to the NF/weekly 'playlist'... An argument could be made for having separate playlists for users depending on what they've paid for. That would allow vanilla only users to continue to enjoy the NF/weekly without preventing DLC users from being able to take on the challenge of the new strike with the difficult modifiers on. At the end of the day it was likely a corporate decision and probably not even one made by Bungie corporate since Activision owns the IP.

So they come out with dlc, you don't want to buy it/can't afford it, but you still want to be able to play everything? They revealed a brand new strike on weekly reset day, if you thought they wouldn't make that strike part of the weekly rotation, than I would like some of what you're drinking or smoking. Since you're not playing destiny, go return cans/bottles, bring back an old video game or 2, or shovel some driveways. 13 year old me would have found a way to get $20 no problem if I wanted it that bad.

If you can't afford the DLC, why do you keep your console and screen? You're better off selling it so you can buy food.

So you're caught in a dilemma here. I'll break down your choices: A: You don't have $20. Shovel a driveway, donate blood/plasma, or trade in a game at gamestop/walmart/best buy. B: You don't believe the expansion is worth $20. Don't buy it, but don't expect them to cater everything to you. They've made this expansion and they want you to buy it, and they want to offer something to those that did. C: You're tired of this game entirely. Trade it in, sell it to a friend/craigslist.

Hence more whining Do you seriously want a 10 year free to play game with new and fresh content coming out regularly for your 50 bucks? Get a grip.... The player community is so greedy. I should go load up my vanilla wow and start making ethical demands again blizzard... Seems like the trendy thing to do.

I don't like it at all. Nothing I can do about it, so I stopped playing. Now people want to buy it for me lol. I'm big on ethics and this doesn't fit the bill so I don't participate. It's obvious what this company is doing. Anyone who calls you a bitch or a crier is obviously a kid. No proud adult talks like that. If they are then it is pretty pathetic. Take it with a grain of salt. You can see it in the responses to my posts soon enough as well haha. Just know Bungie asks for this kind of feedback, the ones who come in here just to tell people to stfu are the real problem with this site. So enjoy the thought. I do. Trash gets nothing but thrown out.

I'm also pissed that even if you have the DLC, you have to do missions (quests) to unlock the daily / weekly / Nightfall WTF is were they thinking here? Way to piss off your loyal customers Bungie! P.S. Commendations are the stupidest idea EVER!

The nightfall/weekly would have taken maybe a couple of hours. What were you planning on doing for the rest of the week? You can still do that....

Same thing I said at Kotaku. When a new expansion comes out in other MMOs, like Wow, and RIFT the Heroic daily dungeons and weekly events are all new expansion content, they don't rotate with old on dungeons like Destiny will. They make the dungeons that provide the most challenge and drop the best marks/gear tailor to the new max level, seems Destiny is the same to me. They raised the level cap, and raised the weekly/daily requirements accordingly, it just happens that this week the maps that are used are for content that not everyone has, which sucks, but they didn't "take it away" or "Ban" anyone, its still there and next week it will probably be one of the old missions again. All games that have expansions do this, Destiny is not unique. You want the full game experience buy the DLCs.

Absolutely not. Bungie should have made a separate playlist for non DLC users like every other developer does when DLC is released. For other people posting on these forum telling you to suck it up because you cant afford $20, go -blam!- yourselves your arrogant pricks. You have no right to tell people how to spend their money or judge them because maybe they just cant afford it. You have no idea what their situation is like and maybe that $20 dollars would go a long way else where.

Bungie has stated that each week that new DLC drops will have events for that DLC. All following weeks will rotate content.
