HELP. How do I play music through my mic? (PC)

So basically I want to play music over my microphone into the game I am playing. I have been googling this for a long time now and I can't find a decent awnser. I lack the audio files themselves, so I am trying to route the sound to my mic. Can someone please help me out? What I'm trying to do is route music normaly played on my computer speakers/USB headset to the output of my mic. It is NOT VoIP. It is on PC. I'm trying to play client-side music through a videogame's audio chat. I know it is possible but I can't find the awnser.

  • You must ascend to the throne of Olympus. There, you will be educated in the micspam activity.

  • simple. take whatever the port is on your mic, take the mic out, and put a cable to your phone/ ipod to act as headphones. ie., i have turtle beach PX5's. if i was so inclined as to to what you are describing, i would remove the micropohone piece leaving just the jack. i would purchase a sizable piece for the mic so i could run a line between my iPad headphone jack and the mic jack. and there ya go, it should work.

  • Why? No one likes music being played down the mic.

Put the 2.5mm speaker jack into the 2.5mm audio-in or mic jack socket. There might be some settings you need to fiddle with, but that's the general gist.

    • Try putting it in your mouth and gently blowing. I'm not -blam!-ing with you. Seriously, try it.

      • If I ever see you in a game, you'll be muted so fast that you'll feel it.

        • So you're trying to listen to music on your headset while playing?

I don't understand your question. Are you saying that you want to hear audio with your mic, or play audio through your mic so others can hear it? Either way, it can't be done with a standard mic, you need a headset like TB's or Trittons for example.

Don't people just use turtle beach headsets for that? God I hate them, it's always the one guy with them on that emits the ear piercing static squeals into the party. and all that background fuzz and buzzing >.<

I want the sound being routed directly from my computer to my mic, submitting it to the game I'm playing. I can't find a proper solution at all with Google and it's really bugging me.

                  • Not sure I understand. You want to sit and spam music into a multiplayer lobby over your microphone?
