I'm curious as to why everyone thinks Halo 4 was a bad game?

Spartan Ops (replacement for FireFight) 6. Photo released at GDC (see attached) 7. Obviously there is something wrong with a game when over 40 of my friends bought Halo 4 and none of them have played it since March 8. Lack of Community involvement. they don't have anyone like DeeJ to communicate on Waypoint. All you get is Snotty Mods and Ambassadors that DEFEND instead of HELP. 9. Forge (UNSC instead of Forerunner architecture & PET's namely Nudge) 10. RED "X" should've been at launch. Instead, they put in the white "X" but it followed the dead body. WRONG. 11. CSR 12. Can't Spawn an object into a Custom game if you're standing too close to it. Remember those cool Sword Tourneys on REACH? 13. Personal Ordnance 14. Perks (Need I say more?) 15. Maps 343i Was given the task of being the Caretakers of the Halo Franchise. That means ALL Halo games not just Halo 4. I asked WHY is there still a daily challenge on REACH that says Link up with Bungie.net. The answer I got was 343i is busy with Halo 4. Huh...Can't even take the time to Delete a Daily Challenge from the Hopper..WOW.

1 ReplyEveryone having sprint, no weapons on map, ordnance, instant respawn, AAs and loadouts manage to make it a giant noobified clusterfuck.

5 RepliesEdited by Symmetry: 7/23/2013 7:45:35 AMI'm curious as to why everyone seems to miss threads that legitimately criticize Halo 4?

It ruined custom games because it didn't allow proximity voice which allows you to talk to enemies.

7 RepliesEdited by Dr. Halsey's Left Arm: 7/23/2013 7:33:10 AMHalo 4 is essentially the Phantom Menace of Halo games. It puts a lot of emphasis on the art and graphics, not unlike Mr. Lucas. It added very few likable characters, Sarah Palmer is really the Jar Jar Binks of Halo 4 and just like Jar Jar very few people like her and yet she keeps popping up. Jar Jar was in all three prequel films and was even shoehorned into Return of the Jedi, Palmer gets a comic series and mobile game about her. Nobody asked for either yet 343i is convinced to shove her in our faces like Lucas does with Jar Jar. Hell, even the villain was a complete drag in both and it is uncanny how they both go down the same. We have out heroes, Obi Wan Kenobi/Qui-Gon Jinn (Chief and Cortana), facing off against a bad guy who is hardly fleshed out and requires a novel to really flesh him out, aka Darth Maul (Ur-Didact). Qui-Gon (Cortana) meets their end at the hand of the bad guy and it is up to the other protagonist to finish the baddie off with a seemingly fatal injury and then watching them fall into a chasm yet somehow both survive such a defeat.

Edited by WILLtheKILLA5: 7/23/2013 1:34:54 PMI have plenty of reasons that I don't like halo for but I don't have time to list them at the moment.

I don't have a problem with Halo 4. I enjoy the game. I guess if I HAD to state a problem, I would say the lag. I had laggy games in Halo 3, but I feel like I experience a LOT more lag in Halo 4. #notmyinternet'sproblem

Edited by Citrus raptor: 7/23/2013 12:58:35 PMMy issues are mostly with the fiction, all the expanded universe things and how they're portrayed (tone, art and sound direction, order of revealing the story, treatment of characters, treatment of science, etc).

2 RepliesBecause these people like Bungie and not 343.

They tried to add to much in my opinion. Also they messed up with the custom games.

What isn't the problem with Halo 4?

I'm not going to say it was bad, but I played it for a few hours, and never felt a desire to go back for more.
