I'm not a WOTM hater, but I would rather have new content. Also, this community complains when Bungie recycles content, but people keep asking for old content.

Edited by Meow Fairy: 10/18/2025 2:17:25 AMpeople complain when they bring back old content NOBODY asked for but old raids were asked for many many times there is nuances in life and opinions lmao, its not just" we want either nothing old brought back, or we want a ton of it" they got to listen to their community to know what to bring back. as an example : bringing back SIVA and plaguelands as well as Wotm = good and engaging with a touch of nostalgia bringing back plague lands without plague, and thats it = no good

True, but it feels like a missed opportunity seeing that they brought back the plague lands for the season.

I am not one of those who hates when they bring back a fun activity, the problem comes when they try to "improve" an older activity and end up ruining it, or they bring back a bad activity that people barely played. Recent examples are Crota's End and the Chalice mechanic being overdone, or reworks to multiple Strikes which were classics that they substantially increased the runtime of and updated enemies, and of course the Season of Plunder payload activities which I believe was the lowest played seasonal activity during Witch Queen, instead of returning Ketchcrash from the same season. I remember a specific Plunder mission which reused a recolored Mars Lost Sector nearly 1:1 and was mildly irritated because it reminded me that it was Vaulted with no way to return there (and still isn't), not that it was just assets being reused. Something like bringing back the Leviathan raid with no updates to enemies or mechanics would be a win. Reworking it to have Shadow Legion or Dread and adding mechanics would be very bad, at least in my opinion. Not everything needs to be tweaked to be "exciting" or "challenging" as most of the time it can just be a fun "throwback" to simpler times.

Bungie miscalculated with EOF. Raids always have a recency bias. A reprised WOTM would have been better for the future health of the game. No one goes back to Kepler after the campaign and everyone hates Matterspark. Writing new experiences around celebrated older content would have been better received.

Disagree about WoTM would be beneficial for this games health. Respect your opinion but that raid won't save d2.
