Trials match making lies
“Continuing to play on this passage will match you versus other players with similar weekly performance”
My team 0.0
Other team averaging 8.0
All 3 on my side dead within 20 seconds.
FU bungle
You said you wanted to bring more players in. Yet we are still nothing but cannon fodder to be pub stomped.
Why can’t you at the very least balance the teams.

Trials is not for solo players and never will be basically this game was never built for solo players. Don’t waist your time with Trials it’s for the elite players only. Look around solo players grind this game the most show up at Trials about 10 lights above the pvp player and still gets stumped by a player that barely touches the game.

1 ReplyHad the same issues lobby balance was busted and matching of similar skill non existent.. I had like 5 or more trials games in a row with ultra sweats on opposite side getting 10.0 kd to next to no kills on our team .. Bungie should never be placing players of that wide a skill gap in same instance..

1 ReplyThey wanted to bring in more players - to be pub stomped. It's the only way the mode keeps working. They don't want you to enjoy Trials, just keep feeding the machine. They'll give you a win every so often to keep you around, by the time you hit 7 wins you've fed the machine for quite a few multi streaks and probably a few flawless runs.

1 ReplyThis happened to us, too. I am not a great pvp player. I'll go into Crucible and Banana and do okay sometimes, but Trials? No. I hate it cause I'm not that great and always get taken out so fast. It's not fun. But, with this supposed new 'balancing' I figured, hey, we'll go in and try it. So my friend and I went in last night and we got leveled just as bad as what happened before this supposed fix. I realize a good chunk is skill issue, but it didn't feel like we were in any of the games we played with other players on our skill level.

I think it’s meant to be tough. I thought it was pretty clear you would go up against anyone, no mater how good or bad they were. The only criticism I would have is that I don’t like the map, also I did not get an adept to drop. Thought one was guaranteed. Got some good rolls though along the way. Not a total loss.

6 RepliesIt's open skill matchmaking, it said so. Not only that but lobby balancing has never been good. Neither in freelance nor regular trials. Also, big advice, play on the more peak hours. You will get more casual players then to have equal skill matches. Bigger player pool means bigger chance of not getting your teeth kicked in To be fair, you will still get an adept regardless of how many losses

2 RepliesThat's barely touching the surface. The matchmaking seems to ignore skill, lobby balance, cross-play (console players), and connection. It keeps putting inexperienced players together and high skilled players together and putting those teams against each other. Then there will be players in that mix from different regions. Then those players will be mixed between different consoles.

I played a guy bngie thinks is legit who had 97% headshot accuracy with cloudstrike on MnK and 92% with Messanger.....

Bungie dont have an idea on how to balance anything in this game when it comes to pvp all this will do is make the casuals not want to play and basically put trials back to a low population filled with sweaty people lol

I managed to go to the lighthouse and got a god roll adept handcannon on my first attempt. So I’m not touching it this week anymore

6 RepliesBeen playing for three hours or so. Sitting at six wins and the last few matches have been against three stacks of really good players .. 0-5, 1-4, for the last half dozen games. Initially the matchmaking was good, pretty even games, but once you get a few wins it appears to resort to type and starts matching you with three stacks of sweats. And the rewards are dropping away too. Last few games the reward was a couple of strange coins. I'm betting because Bungie knows if you are one or two wins away from the Lighthouse you are going to hang in there. Classic Bungie Monkeypaw. I have also seen some serious cheaters. People taking no damage. Being shot through rocks. People teleporting from one end of the map to the other. I had a Hunter, that was maybe 50m in front of me, suddenly disappear only to teleport onto me. I am not a PVP player and if this is aimed at getting players like me into Trials long term then I cant see it working. Once I get to the Lighthouse I am done with Trials for the weekend because of the loaded matchmaking. If the matchmaking was like my first few games I would be happy to play Trials on my other characters. But this matchmaking of always being up against better players is what turned me away from Trials in the first place. Getting some nice loot though.
