You can easily play the game without buying much of anything from the Eververse store. The micro transactions aren't the problem. It's the poorly structured content or lack thereof, no new loot, weak storytelling, crappy matchmaking, cheaters, constant nerfs and bugs in the game from what I've gathered.

Bungie couldn’t design a good looking sparrow if their life was on the line. Nice troll bro. I wish I had a reason to buy some of the ornaments nowadays. No passion in their design. Btw if you mean season passes thats not a micro transaction thats the season pass learn the difference. They did put money into designing the season and I’m not a bungie defender but it’s either pay to win aspects in a cash store or its a season pass model. This is a live service game with constant new content and they even let you play a free version with this smooth gameplay you don’t have to pay -blam!- for. So yeah, please stop acting like an ordinary panhandler “spare some change” like bro, you don’t work for free either. Either buy the new content or don’t, personally i say it’s good value it’s just that I’d rather pay triple the price than they ask now for triple the content because for me it’s just not enough content. No really cool endgame grind.

Yeah its looking like the player count is going down to concerning levels. Or what should be concerning levels. I guess a lot of people expect the game to be free so that's something to think about. Not sure how well things have gone for PvP with the mostly "free" approach. Maybe that approach will work "wonders" for the PvE side of the game as well.
