Nah, it’s pretty decent imo. Much better than it is in pve at least. Booping people from around corners or blasting back shotgun apes is always fun.

Sliding negates the "push" and they get pulled right into you. Combined with the fact that it deals negative damage, you can't even proc some fragments with it.
