What Remains (Question) Taken VS Vex
Hi There,
Are there any lore experts or lore enthusiasts that can help answer this question or provide perspective.
My Question: In the “What Remains” mission where we are sent to eliminate the conceptual mind and retrieve the exotic weapon “Deterministic Chaos”, why are the taken forces fighting the Sol Divisive Vex since the they are allied with the Witness, was there something I missed?
Thank you, please feel free to add interpretations and perspectives. You can provide evidence to back any claims up if you want, but these can be merely assumptions.

1 ReplyThe Witness in that moment wanted one of the only things that the Vex won’t willingly do. The destruction of data. Instead of arguing the point the Taken were sent in to destroy the Mind holding the data and destroy it.

7 RepliesThey aren’t allied with the Witness. That's a misconception. There are multiple factions out there that have no alignment with that entity.

8 RepliesThe Vex aren't really alien with the Witness, they just worship the darkness. The Taken were attacking to destroy all evidence of the Black Heart's creations, and its not like the Vex are just gonna let themselves be slaughtered.
