Why is the Crucible so unplayable these days? Either you get skipping opponents, no bullet or hit reg, or it takes twice the bullets to get a kill or your host and everyone leaves your game as you wax that ass. People requiring you to be on old gen in lfg and the playability just feels really bad…like jogging through miles of knee-deep mud. Triple A studio with Triple C devs. Too bad.

2 RepliesI think PVP is rock solid right now, tbh. The best it has felt in a long time.
-
And you didn’t even mention how .5 KD players have too constantly face 3.0 KD players as stat fodder. So fun.
-
Always has been
-
It’s always been a joke.
-
Cause activision is gone. Activision was willing to spend money on the game. Bungie on their own rather invests money into new games they develop
-
yeah, but like a joke that’s tragically so unfunny it’s kind of funny, but not actually funny where you’d recommend it to anyone for enjoyment.
-
The old gen thing is specifically for trials. And thats because bungie dropped the ball by making new gen teams only match other new gen teams.
-
So you're on console? Bud, you have no idea how bad crucible can really get, trust me.

3 RepliesRight now my issue is I’m only dying to 3 things. Stasis, Shotguns, and Jotunn. That goddamn fusion rifle pisses me off

4 RepliesThe biggest and most prominent problem with the crucible, is that it’s population is FAR too low to have healthy matchmaking. This also makes the sbmm and cbmm debate pointless for the following reasons: Sbmm: increased loading times for higher tier players and mid+ tier players. As time goes on, those skill brackets leave. Lag is common in nearly every game, and the higher your skill bracket, the more common it is. Thing is, the ones that remain, will eventually continually match lower skilled players to stomp, as the longer someone waits in orbit, the more likely it’ll eventually match players of lower skill. Cbmm: It’s a mercy fest as higher tier players and stacks crush everyone. The bottom tier leaves rapidly. As time goes on, more and more skill tiers leave as the skill gap widens further and further and further. Eventually, laggy matches become far more common, and matching against foreign players becomes VERY common. Load times also become longer, due to the game having to open up its parameters continually so your not sitting in orbit forever. In the end, it’ll eventually be no different then sbmm. Neither works if the population. Isn’t healthy. Some people have suggested creating loot incentive, but this has problems as well. People who don’t want to play crucible won’t play it correctly. The reason most people don’t bother playing the objective, is because they’d rather focus on their bounties. You can’t expect someone to play to the spirit of the playlist if they don’t want to be there anyway. Pve players ALWAYS complain when they enter the crucible. Attempting to “persuade,” them to play crucible typically ends up with them not actually playing the objective, since they don’t want to be there to begin with, This is also why giving loot incentive doesn’t work either. Take trials for example. What are people doing in it when they have no chance to win? They cliff dive for the bounty. This would also happen if there was a great piece of loot for pve in the crucible. People would probably take the easiest and fastest way to get something, regardless of winning or losing (or hire a recovery service, cheat, or pay a carry service). The current playlist pvp weapons have SO many perks attached to them, getting a pve rolled one is typically not possible. So why would a pve player try to grind for a pve frozen orbit if the chance to get the desired roll is less then probably 1%? Not to mention that playlist weapons are a VERY rare drop to begin with, which adds to the problem. To put it bluntly, the crucible simply cannot attract a wide enough and willing audience to function correctly at all, whether it’s sbmm or cbmm. Adding incentive to play only entices people to play incorrectly. The population is continuing to dwindle as time goes on. Nerfing stasis isn’t enough to bring life to the crucible. Nor is adding loot, sbmm, cbmm, or a variety of other reasons. It just can’t attract a wide enough audience to have virtually ANY healthy matchmaking.

2 RepliesTriple A is a game price licence, not a studio. You have to hit certain standards to be triple A. A is £20 AA is £40 AAA is £60 It's why most triple As release hollow, because they concentrate on hitting the £60 bar, rather than making the game good. Forget the details but it's stuff like graphic fidelity, optimisation, etc

1 ReplyFree to play...

1 ReplyIts not a serious pvp game. So, your right its a joke. Somewhere to shoot other players rather than the redundant pve. Stop treating it as some competitive mode.

3 Repliesdestiny PvP was never meant to be taken seriously.

Because having skill based matches is unfair so the code is written so that you may win almost half the matches you play so the other less skilled players can know what victory tastes like. Trophies for all win lose or draw it doesn’t even matter to them.

1 ReplyYou can’t call Destiny’s PvP a joke. People LIKE jokes
-
2 RepliesI get the occasional lag but far from unplayable. PvP is actually the most fun I've had in a long time after all the nerfs.
-
5 RepliesThe reason they've completely neglected it is because it's available for f2p players and they don't want to dump development resources into f2p. It's sad, but I'm sure that's the reason. They're working on a shoe string budget now and every penny they spend has to show financial return.

Not just pvp
-
It's P2P ergo it has always been a joke, serious PvP means dedicated servers. Nothing to see here.
-
4 RepliesThe game has been abandoned. It's just a cash cow nowadays. Spread the word

Destiny pvp always has been a joke. It's set up to fail no matter what. Get in, get your pinnacles, quest, whatever and get out.
-
Honestly the sandbox right now is probably the best we have had in quite some time.

I just played yesterday. It was fun
