Blaze heads back to talk to Joshua.

You head to Joshua’s room to see if he’s inside. The door slides open as you knock, but nobody was there. Regardless, you notice something on his desk; it’s his notes from the investigation. It looks like he mapped out Aubrey’s secret tunnels; running from Amaterasu’s Gift, to Le Restaurant, and SAYU-Mart.

Blaze quickly starts heading to the Sayu mart.

You leave Amaterasu’s Gift, and make your way to SAYU-Mart, where SAYU appears to greet you. Though, she doesn’t welcome you with her usual greeting, and instead looks rather annoyed, though she tries to hide it behinda smile. Looking at her store, it’s clear why; the place was entirely overrun by a thick web of vines. While you could slip through, navigating around will likely be difficult.

Blaze coughs. “I…wow. I’m guessing the vines are why you’re annoyed?”

“Annoyed? I’m not annoyed!” SAYU said, with a smile. “I’m happy my store looks like a [forest]! . . . Thrilled… Yaaaay…” Her fake enthusiasm wasn’t able to persist, and she sounded very, very annoyed by the end of her sentence.

“Eheh….you sure you’re happy about it?”

“I’m programmed to say yes.” SAYU said.

“Huh…doesn’t sound fun.”

“Of course it is! It’s always fun here at SAYU-Mart! . . . Even when it looks like a [forest]…”

Blaze gets a very slight smile on his face. “Yeah…I’d imagine. Is it possible to get through it?”
-
“I don’t know, I’m a hologram.” Looking at the web, you see a gap you could slip through, but it’d be tight.

“Mhm….fair. That doesn’t sound fun.”

SAYU vanished, and reappeared on the other side. You could see her poking her eye through the hole. “No it’s lots of fun! It means I don’t have to worry about barricades like this one!”

“Huh that’s…a fair point.”

“So how come you’re just standing there? Weren’t you trying to get in?”
-
“Oh! Right!” Blaze tries to squeeze through the tight gap.
-
Inside, you find SAYU looking over her store with a sad look in her eye. You could barely even see the walls, floors, shelves, or ceiling; all of it covered by a thick layer of vines. Coming off the shelves were several thick columns of vines stretching up to the ceiling, and not long after you entered, several vine creatures began crawling out of them. “Watch out! Bad guys!” SAYU yelled, pointing at them.

“My good-ahh!” Blaze throws a lightning bolt at one.

[spoiler]Sorry for not responding much yesterday. I was super tired, and could hardly stay awake on my work breaks.[/spoiler] The lightning bolt strikes it in the shoulder, dismembering its arm.. Only, the arm didn’t stop moving. It began rapidly crawling along the ground, lunging at you like a snake!

Blaze tries to roll to the side, and throws the lightning bolt at a creatures chest.

You strike the monster clean, throwing it back against the wall, but ignoring its arm proved to be a mistake, as it jumps onto your neck from behid, and begins trying to stab thorns into yoir throat.

Blaze tries to tear it off and throw it onto a bed of shadow spikes with his vampiric strength.

While you successfully tear it off, it angles itself to perfectly slither between the spikes without getting hit. The struggle gave one of the other vine creatures time to get close, and you found a pair of vine-axes coming down towards your head.

Blaze tries to roll away, and slashes at one with his claws.
