Having darth Maul survive episode 1 is the most pointless thing to happen in Star Wars.

Eh… I wasn’t super stoked about his revival, either. [i]But[/i], it’s possible that Ashoka and Rex wouldn’t have escaped without his distraction (according to the Clone Wars series). That’s enough for me to be okay with it ;-;

1 Reply[i]You're not wrong. For what it's worth, I've never been a fan of Darth Maul. Everything about his character design reeks of 1990's excess, where everything had to be turned up to the max ( see the Simpsons Poochy episode to understand my mini rant ). I prefer my bad guys to be more subtle, and I prefer it when Star Wars is a timeless fantasy story, and Maul is too much a product of 'that' era. However, I'll overlook his unnecessary resurrection because his rematch with Obi-Wan in Rebels is probably one of best moments in all of Star Wars Canon. Everything about that moment was just perfect. [/i]

No,that part of Star Wars I am ok with... however...episode 7-9 was pointless, hopefully those get removed canonically once Kathleen Kennedy leaves, that way they could be done better without producers swapping out due to poor management 7 setup the new movies, 8 was supposed to answer questions but instead gets sidequested, 9 has to fill everything not answered in 8 and tie off the whole mess which it did an ok job with. 4-6 is 10/10, 1-3 is 8/10, 7 and 9 alone 7/10, 8 might as well be scrapped and remade...oh well...

Outside anything expanded outside the movies, the Obi Wan vs Maul arc is the best. All other expanded movies/series just kinda, ehh. Haven't seen Mandalorian tho.
