I did it for heir apparent catalyst. I see no reason to continue it.

Only a few things to worry about 1. the catalyst/gun 2. Bungie reward for getting the sparrow 3. the ghost shells and sparrows 4. attend the closing ceremony on may 7-11? for bungie reward that's all you need to care about for the event, if you dont care for bungie rewards, then half of those dont matter
-
I’d rather have faction wars
-
No, I don’t feel like indulging Bungie’s bounty fetish.
-
-
Yea I’m after all the gg shaders, and emblems as it’s my favourite looking, just need one more haha
-
Ran it for the catalyst, and now only run it for brightdust, Don't give a damn about it otherwise, because why? surely not because there's a fun new activity, or weapons or even just better weapon rolls. In essence Bungo gave us ZERO reason to really care about Guardian games. Shocker there!
-
did it for the machine gun and catalyst then quit.
-
Nope it was for a catalyst and that’s it. I honestly look at whatever class that wins and feel embarrassed for them just like last year. Like bruh slow down on the bounties and go outside.
-
Not really done most of it, got the catalyst got some emblems and shaders wow 🙄 Would rather have something to do with factions 3 out 10 for bungie wasting time on it.
-
Didn't get heir apparent last year because my account was unusable due to watercress error, fault on Bungies end which took 7 weeks to resolve! Ran strikes and nightfall one night last week to earn heir apparent, got the catalyst today after playing a few strikes to earn the contender cards. To be honest I'll just jump into shiro chi or do battlegrounds to finish the catalyst as it's quicker and easier. Still play survival quite a bit which gives a medal but other than that I'm done with gg, to be fair though this actual season has been decent.

8 RepliesNope. Its a crap event. I dont even care enough to log on and grab the catalyst 😂

1 ReplyI hate to say it, but I think last year's event was better, and that's a pretty low bar to begin with. This year had much more potential, but failed in a few ways: 1. The Heir Apparent catalyst was WAY too easy to obtain. I'm not saying it needs to be incredibly grindy to get, but it was easily obtainable in the first day for even a casual player. Last year it took most players about a week and a half to get Heir Apparent and finish their Triumphs, that at least kept players engaged. 2. The custom Strike playlist needs more incentive to play, they are simply too boring. Maybe they could have added double drops or give out medals based on a scoring system, or something. Right now it's just not worth playing. 3. The bounty system is awful. Last year, we needed to go to the tower once a day in order to pick up medals for completion, and that's perfectly okay, but needing to go to the tower after every bounty? That's simply ridiculous. This alone is the main reason I've stopped getting Gold/Platinum medals, it's not fun to constantly fly to the tower between activities. On top of that, whoever thought of this new 'competitive' ranking system needs to look at the definition of 'competitive', it is set up in a way set to prioritize letting every class get a medal over the course of the event rather than let it be a competition. I personally think there should be some weight based on player population, but can understand if they didn't want to incorporate it. My problem is adding a +10% advantage for 3rd place. This system incentivizes getting 3rd place over 2nd place, is that competitive Bungie? Personally, I'd prefer an overall system that forces you to pick a class to pledge your loyalty for the event, then you are only allowed to progress that class, that would be a much better system.

1 ReplyNope. Quit playing over 3 weeks ago. Waiting for a reason to return. Know of any?
-
Never did. Making an event about class warfare was never going to work out.
-
Good for bright dust gains if its a strike day.
-
Lost interest after discovery that I have to do bounties on strikes or PvP or gambit. Do not interest in any of them.
-
I had a bit of fun with it. They should have given actual awards though, like a unique exotic for 1st place, unique pinnacle weapon for 2nd and a cool ornament set for 3rd. That should be the only way and time to get those. Period.
-
I did it for heir apparent catalyst. I see no reason to continue it.
Only reason why I'm playing.
-
I'd only care if they had new weapons and worth wild loot to chase. Even the cosmetic items are garbage looking. The whole event is just a placeholder till next season starts. I mean i did get the catalyst for a heavy i will never use.
-
6 RepliesOnce I realized you can’t even earn the armor ornaments in game, I totally lost interest. This event is so bad, even by Bungie’s standards. If the coolest stuff in the event can only be bought from eververse, what’s the point of playing the event?

HEIR APPARENT CATALYST
-
Same... tbh, none of these events are particularly good. I appreciate bungie puts them on etc but I personally think the resources could be used elsewhere like adding a new pvp map, strikes or weapons. I have 54 engrams at shaxx to collect and there is nothing I want. Dont get me wrong, I love the game and play all the time but rhos event (apart from the cat) holds nothing for me at all.
-
I did it for the Catalyst. That's about it.
-
I’ll take the free legendary shards they’re giving out and I got the catalyst but other than that I couldn’t care less which class wins. It’s mostly to boost Eververse sales anyway. Hard Pass.
-
I did until I found out a few hours ago third place teams get a buff. Hunters never going into 3rd is the reason they have no chance of winning anymore. After grinding 8 days, truly thinking bungie learnt from last year about rigging a competitive event.. It may be time to stop playing this dog water game for a bit.
