Coup de Grâce bugged
Not far into the mission, after doing a little damage to the High Celebrant, he leaves and leaves behind a black orb, which we are supposed to destroy. The orb is not taking damage. It doesn't even say "immune." So we're stuck and can't continue this mission.
EDIT: We figured out that there is a very short window of opportunity to do damage to the orb before it becomes impossible. So if done fast enough, the issue can be bypassed. (So we have gotten past this bug.)
EDIT 2: I read on another thread that you need the wrath buff to do damage to the orb, so that could be an explanation? But there's still a problem because there's no way to get the buff since enemies aren't spawning at that point.
We also did not receive the ship upon completion.

Many different bugs in this quest as mentioned. Got through it once by shotgunning orbs. Putting this aside until fixed.

1 ReplyI have a bug/glitch i completed the high celebrant mission but did get the exotic ship thats supposed to be rewarded upon completion, also i completed the triumphs and didnt get my titleit still says 17of19 but the entire tab is completed #broken #fixpls #giveusasecondhuntchargeforcelebrant

2 RepliesMy team was having the same issue, and it seems the problem was that one of us (me) had not upgraded their lure yet. When I left the fireteam, my friends had no trouble. But they didn't get the ship that was supposed to drop.

1 ReplyAlso if you kill the celebrant too fast(I did with Izanagi's x4 shots first room) it glitches and doesn't allow you to continue

Edited by Therion: 1/5/2021 9:20:23 PMYeah, having the same issue with the portal. Tried with different characters; returning to orbit; slowing damage. Gotta wait for a quick fix. Edit: After several more attempts using various unsuccessful methods, I managed to progress the quest by standing directly underneath the Celebrant just as it teleports into the Ascendant Realm. As the orb always spawns in the same spot and the Celebrant seems to teleport after taking nearly 1/4th damage, I simply stood in the spot where the orb spawns and managed to get sucked in when it opnened the rift. Did not get the ship upon completion though.

I posted a video per Bungie's request. Standing RIGHT where the wrath buff circle was, slamming the orb with friggin Xenophage - and nada - why? Because the buff disappears when the celebrant does. Getting real frustrated now....

Same problem. I did manage to get to the ascended plane at one point, only to find the same problem there.
