Can we get a new Hunter Vanguard
Also can the Vanguard leaders have some sort of class specific bounties for you to do?
But we could use a new Hunter Vanguard.

1 ReplyThe Drifter does say (in the prophecy dungeon, after the hexahedron) that Ana Bray should step up, which is obviously a terrible idea, considering she’s abandoned the city before. But the storyline still hasn’t been forgotten.

1 ReplyEris is probably the best suited for the role, but she has other business to attend to so no point in asking her. We haven't see Shiro since D1 so who knows what he's up to. Efrideet's out guarding a pacifist colony last I remember. Ana can't be trusted with the position since she willingly faked her death to search for Rasputin. I can't recall if Uldren is even mentioned to be a Hunter, much less the issue with the Vanguard dare in general. None of the Hunters in lore want to step up either. Considering the nature of hunters anyways, they're probably fine without a Vanguard.

Tommy's Matchbook lore is saying that all hunters are ditching hunter vanguard. If anyones going to be hunter vanguard though it would have to be Uldren Sov due to the vanguard dare

Eris isnt even a lightweilder any more. And if she was she would be Warlock/titan/hunter mix,so she would be specific to a certain class. Drifter,if he were even willing,is a warlock. He may act somewhat like a hunter but he is very much a warlock. It is even implied that he uses Dawnblade.[/spoiler]

Based on the Hunter Vanguard Dare that states “whatever guardian that kills the current Hunter vanguard must take up the mantle” which most likely means Uldren will become the Hunter vanguard because Pulled Pork revived him which means he’s a guardian now. Personally I think this is a good idea, I could see this being a really good story idea.

Colonel is the only worthy successor of Cayde-6. That chicken's done so much for me... If the Vanguard have another dare, I'd "convince" Colonel to enter, Colonel would lose, and then us hunters would finally have someone who suits the role.

Zavala does the quartermaster and operations job and leads the vangaurd. Ikora hasn't done much "official" stuff other then the hidden and gathering intel. Plus the planet vendors basically do the patrol and Flashpoint setups, which was caydes job. Plus the class thing always felt odd to me. Why does a titan get to lead the vangaurd?

Agreed. We could utilize each vanguard like in D1. They would be the ones to go to for specific quests and armor.
