Same event as last year so im not complaining.
(fyi, im a lock)
Some steps are a little tedious (mainly the 10 matches in gambit) but overall it was just what i was expecting from this event.
Having the free white glow is very nice and im a big fan, and having the glows already as universal ornaments is also pretty cool.
Being that im a pvp and pve player this event isnt hard and most complaints seem to be from the pve only crowd, to which i can say, git kud kid.

5 RepliesI only did it in year 1. Skipped year 2 and I am skipping this year. Do you guys still use or solstice gear from previous years? What about the Ship and Sparrow? Yeah not wasting my time. I bought the Iron banner finisher and that's it.

1 ReplyI just kinda wish it was more EAZ-focused.

The Trials requirement is a legitimate complaint. No one is forcing pvp players to complete raid challenges for the armor. It was just a tone deaf move on Bungie’s part. They’re should have been a pve option, or a pvp option that offered matchmaking.

2 RepliesThe criticisms come firm people not wanting to put any effort in. If they decided to put the effort in, then they would find out that it isn't bad and less of a grind than they thought.

I'm new so I can enjoy things more 😁 Honestly, I just do EAZ to jump across roofs while whistling mission impossible. dunDUN-dundun-dunDUN-DUNdun... DUNDUNDUnnnnnnn....

1 ReplyEdited by Bumblebee793: 8/13/2020 2:54:05 PMI liked the eaz last year, so no complaints on its return. The armor is cool too. The universal ornament thing is a huge step up from last year. Kinda hoped for some forsaken and shadowkeep redux missions like the red war ones in y1, but oh well I guess. My favorite event is still the dawning. Nothing beats baking cookies and throwing snowballs at guardians just as they load into the tower.

3 RepliesEdited by I Am The Viruss: 8/14/2020 2:29:52 AMThis is incredibly out of touch on why people are complaining about Solstice. From this week, here are some the things people are discussing: -The event being a complete copy-paste from last year, bugs and all. -Pieces of a "free" armor glow being locked behind paid content. -Not lowering the 6,000 bright dust price for glows, with no additional methods of acquiring dust. -Last year's glows not going to be accessible as universal ornaments. -Forcing players into Trials for the "free" glow to increase it's player count.

Ehhh I mean.. doing one full armor set is fine, but as a whole event, it's flaming dog shit. EAZ is beyond boring, super tedious, and not in any way enjoyable to sit through.
-
3 RepliesI have 1 major complaint about solstice. Why is it that the EAZ is not a crucible map? Would be amazing for a 6v6 or a new 12v12 mode.
-
3 RepliesLol. You had me saying yep I agree. Then you try to sound macho by typing get good. You lost me right there. Grow up and speak NORMALY.

3 RepliesI should hopefully have my Warlock finished tonight, then its on to the other 2... I might also finish MXX.... er... MXXX? MXXXXXXXX?! ... erm, whatever the Moments of Triumph title is, or at least near as damnit

6 RepliesSaying Solstice isn't bad is like saying that some STD's aren't harmful.

Not even 2 days in and I’m done 2 characters. The bonus progress made this easy

I don’t think being pve or pvp players makes the complaints unreasonable about the 7 trials wins. Just not a fun game type and you need to play trials. Could have been elimination, competitive, or even just win casual games and would have been fine. Other than that all the other requirements are completely reasonable.

People will complain about literally anything... don’t even try to convince them solstice is good.

You're right. It isn't that bad, it's worse for they ignored all the feedback .... AGAIN!
