This video sums up all my thoughts.

Bungie going back to trials is the biggest JOKE. Streamers selling carries all weekend long, they will NEVER LEARN, it's RUINED destiny 1 and will do the same for D2, the cheating, nerfs, toxicity and selling carries, I'm done with this GARBAGE once and for all!!!!!!

I just came back to see if there is anything new. Last season I only did 30 ranks in the pass. Just got extremely bored with the FOMO grind fest. No new pulse rifles for me to grind for. It's my favorite primary weapon type. This season it's just a future war cult weapon. The trickle feed of what is a copy of the Black armory forges. Is extremely boring ontop of how damn long it takes to get enough bits. I work 10-14 hours so I Don't have a ton of time to grind these days. The story feels empty and not at all personal to my character. Like it has been in the past. In all honesty this season has made me miss Destiny 1 Age of triumph. Amazing armor sets and weapons with great perk pools. None of this forced load outs and perk mods to do nightfalls. The constant back and forth the player base is using this weapon type to much nerf it into the ground to buff it again later.

Bungie has severely disappointed Me in the past two seasons. They have consistently rewarded silver instead of skill. This season is no different. The minor quality of like changes to the menus are nice. The new public event is fun for about a half hour before having to grind for 4 warmind bits per public event. I cannot play any core list activities and receive even a base amount of exp. this game has turned into a bounty farm. The loot portion of the game has been essentially removed. All god tier weapons are farmable from known locations, save a few world drops, which just got even harder to get given the increase in loot pool with the faction items. AND. The new faction armor 2.0 can’t even drop with seasonal mod slots. Pinnacle/ritual weapons have been removed except for an iron banner bow (whoopy). The things that made grinding those core playlists worth it. Luke Smith said that they wanted to make core playlist more engaging and meaningful this season and I’m calling BS. nothing has changed. The nerds that bungie has made this season we’re drastic over-reactions. Bungie is acting like a bunch of children. “Oh, you think this is bad, we will show you bad” “use snipers more” “you’re using snipers too much” “check out these new perk combos” “you guys use damage and reload perks too much, so instead of balancing untouched perks (looking at you pulse monitor), none of the new seasonal weapons can have those damage/reload combos” I have never seen the community turn this fast on bungie for seasonal content. It was about 20 minutes before the honeymoon phase wore off and people were bored. This isn’t new content. It’s re-skinned forges and vex offensive. It’s insulting. Like Smith needs to find someone who can actually direct this game to a place that is BETTER than before. We shouldn’t be trying to recreate d1, just because everything they have tried to do interesting in pvp doesn’t work. Oh, and there are still people who paid a lot of money and or bright dust on solstice armor glows to only receive a BS stay armor roll that was unusable. This year will certainly have the exact same armor as last year and we will still have to buy the armor glows again. Ever verse shouldn’t have better looking content then the actual freaking game. Rasputin- the most powerful weapon in the system- is nothing more than a bounty farm again. Let’s take down the most dangerous thing in our system with... bounties for dead dregs. But I love the warmind themed stuff. I’m good with Rasputin coming back into the fold. This whole post sounds pretty negative, but I love destiny, I was in a very dark place when I started playing this game and the community was just that to me- a community when I didn’t have one and I always want to love new destiny content, but I just can’t - haven’t since shadowkeep launched. This new format is repetitive and has taken me less and less time to grow bored with each new season.

It's the first season I've not played day 1, trailer looked good but the more I read the less I liked what saw. It seems like they are either running out of ideas are putting in as little effort as possible for maximum profit. I still don't like eververse, don't like the fact we haven't had any new supers or abilities for a long time and every event just seems the same as the last in a new skin. Plus trails coming back is just frustrating for a PvE player, the whole sandbox seems to be balanced around it which is just annoying. I'd like to see it turn around but just can't see it at the moment. Plus borderlands is smashing it at the moment, FF7 and last of us are coming so destiny is on the back burner until I see serious improvement.

also I realize it's early in the season so keep that in mind. also if you're here to say stop whining please refrain. thats a stupid response and doesn't get the conversation anywhere
