I like many guardians have been here since Day 1 of D1. So I like to think I have an extensive knowledge of Destiny and all of its gimmicks. One of the things many of us noticed back then is how utterly bad the balancing was for PvP and how changing things for the better in PvP screwed over PvE. Now over the course of D2 I've left and came back and then left again over the seasons. With the news of Trials coming back it brought back fond memories, but I remember it through foggy lenses. Now speaking of D2 Idk what they plan to do with this game's balancing but for heavens sake its awful. You spend days/weeks/ maybe even a month to get a "good" weapon just to have it replaced the next season and for it to suck. You get used to abilities, play styles, exotics just for them to be dumpstered the next time you have an update. Its so exhausting. This game has never been a casual player game or do I expect it to be but the skill gap for PvP is so terrible. No wonder this game gets soooo low reception and media coverage because the only fun thing to do is try out the raid once and just leave. I havent done any of the raids besides the first because I have no friends that like this game. Making new friends on this game is a chore because of how much time I,d have to invest to even remotely have fun. I recently as of two days ago thought of getting into crucible again with 2 others that I played with back in the day. BIG mistake. The weapon names I don't even recognize but they destroy all 3 of us before we can do anything to them back. It just not fun. I don't expect to be Gods so Ill give this game more time but I don't think I myself or a lot of people can enjoy this game in its state. All the new quests and everything just keeps getting moved or forgotten about. It would be nice to get some solid UI, solid gunplay, solid anything tbh. This was obviously just my rant. Im not trying to force anything down people throats but its sad to see a game with so much potential go to waste.

I just play to stand in the tower while listening to Armatory, 7000$ , Louna , slot , psychea and other great bands Because it’s more fun than playing the game lol The games super boring anymore they made this game more Grindy than black desert

6 RepliesThe gunplay and the fluidity in movement in destiny is better than any other fps. This is why so many people play still and come back to it. Its the rest of the game that needs to addressed because it hasn’t been fully fleshed out.

1 ReplyEdited by XxSkull FistxX: 3/2/2020 4:41:34 AMElim and Comp are God awful for solo players. Every match, blueberries on my team legend and unbroken players on the opposing team🤦🏻♂️

They tried to blame everything on activision but all they have done is show how weak and worthless they are without them! The amount of hackers and horrible sandbox changes and nerfs to everything just show how far up their own ass they really are and it's a shame. I have been a fan of this game since d1 day one but the more I play this game the more I hate it.

1 ReplyThat is why I NEVER grinded in this game cause I knew it was pointless. Now I'm grinded to get a few guest done that I never finished but after that, I think I'm wrapping it up for myself. Instead of this game just being fun and a little adventure, it's a pointless grind with little play off. I've had my fun in the past for sure but I think they really ever understood why your average people play video games. It's to fill the void of their normal lives with a little fun, joy and adventure. That is about it. Shame.

2 RepliesThis game is awesome when you don’t sit down and try to play it like it’s the only game that exists. Besides, playing other games at least gives you a basis for comparison. lol There’s good and bad in every game but dang, I imagine for people who have like 1000 LL across 3 characters, it’s like working a job and not getting paid.

1 ReplyYou don’t get to judge. You have terrible skill and don’t play comp.

1 ReplyHoly crap am I reading a novel?

1 Replywe know that already....anything else we already know about?

3 RepliesYeah, we know.

Yes its a pve game with pvp slapped on it cant be perfectly balanced.
-
1 ReplyYou know developers are clueless when your primary weapon is usually the weakest tool in your arsenal. Maybe they feel bad for people who can’t win gunfights so that’s why so many people crutch special weapons so hard. Look how bad the final Destiny 1 update ended up. They turned it into an ability spam simulator. D2 is likely headed in the same direction unless they hire some competent PVP developers. 🤷🏼♂️

I have been with Destiny since the beginning. I hung it up about a month ago, for damn near the exact same reasons you pointed out. I absolutely love this game and it has been pretty much the only thing I've played in the last 4 years. Well, that's over unless bungee does something to fix destiny I'm done with it.

1 Replyyou know that you can make paragraphs by mashing the return button a couple of times? works wonders for people being able to read the long rambling crap you write

This game has a huge gaping hole, And only we can fill it👍 I’m sorry, was this a ‘cheese’ thread?

Edited by Corrick II: 3/1/2020 5:53:21 PMBungie had an amazing IDEA for a game but it’s obvious they don’t know how to actually MAKE that game in a way that progression feels natural and not forced on us. Yes, the core mechanics are solid and they get something right every now and then but overall they rely on clumsy bandaids and balance to “fix” the major issues which makes it look like they’re just making this up as they go. Which they pretty much are.

Speaking of broken...
-
2 RepliesI agree with you 100% and just to add you can personally do great in crucible (a multiplayer pvp game mode) and still get no progress and actually get penalized for if you lose match because of team....i think this is only game I've played that does that...its so frustrating to do well in a game and get no reward because you could not carry your team. Any other game you rank up from personal progress and get more XP or what ever the case for the win just seems that the decision to keep your glory rank tied to other is flawed

They need to embrace the weird and crazy. This game is trying to be too strict. We need crazy game modes that are fun. Not every match needs to be a sweatfest. Its not an esport game, it will never be.
-
1 ReplyOne of Destiny's ever growing mistakes is trying to make the game overly balanced in the name of PVP. Vanilla D2 wanted esport like PVP, but Destiny just wasn't built for that, and people left in droves out of boredom. If they had separated the modes from the start (likely not possible with all the development issues) things would be much smoother. D2 has been slowly trying to moonwalk back to D1 standards, but making some of the old slip ups in the process.
