Go back to doing big dlcs, seasons miss to much and don’t seem to let you sit down and really think about what your making or doing

I’d rather pay for a big dlc that was thought through, less bugs and more jam packed into it, at least we could play the whole thing and have fun, then as we get board we would still have strike specific loot to chase (this must be brought back) and then we tried to speed run everything, but also we could muck around and test things to see what we could get away with, such as glitching into raid bosses ect 🤣, oh and we also had trials, now trials end meta was bad not trials itself, remember that guardians 👍🏻, at least we had a weekend to try and go flawless to obtain sweet ornaments and by ornaments I mean dope holographic sick house ornaments and also the adept weapons, such accomplishment was felt opening that dope Egyptian chest and getting those rewards, yeah also please bring back the Egyptian themed armour set, loved looking like an Egyptian God!!!!!!!😏😎🍆💦💦

  • I still astounds me that this opinion exists. Newsflash guys, Destiny 2 has like 5x the content of destiny 1. Destiny 1 got two large expansions, Taken King and Rise of Iron. Destiny 2 has two equivalent products in Forsaken and Shadowkeep. The first expansions being massive overhauls of the games systems, and the second being a shorter, cheaper experience. What did Destiny 1 get between Taken King and Rise of Iron? The April update that reskinned Prison of elders. What did Destiny 2 get between Forsaken and shadowkeep? Forges. New weapons and armor from forges. 4 exotics, and a raid. A new gambit mode, armors with set bonuses, The Drifter vs Vanguard quest, Xur Bounties, then Season of Opulence had menagerie, a return of some favorite D1 weapons, new armor, new exotics and another raid. This content model has kept destiny relevant for longer and we have gotten more content between forsaken and shadowkeep than Destiny 1 ever had. I'm sorry most of you are so insatiable that nothing is good enough for you.

    • I rather have an awesome experience every once in a while then booooooooring crap that i have to do to keep my light level up just to be ready for the next boooooooooooooring crap. I preferred the D1 expansion models. I really enjoyed those, they were a lot of fun, and when I was done I said "that was cool, money well spent" then went on to another game. When a new D1 expansion came out it was exciting. None of the stuff this year was even remotely exciting. All boring. I much rather have quality content spaced out. Plenty of other games to play during Destiny content droughts. I highly recommended Borderlands 3 to all my gamer friends and they all got it and loved it. I did not recommend Destiny 2 to a single person. Told them it was boring chores for the sake of "content" to get crap to do more boring chores. The campaign didn't even have a boss!

      • Agreed. I really don't like this season time gaited content that gets taken away every 12 weeks. All it is is another bounty vender. Oh boy! More bountieeeeeeees. With respect to Saint-14, they could have done so much more with him than just a couple of missions. Can you imagine a forsaken style content with him? I would love that.

      • Seasonal model sucks donkey nuts. Would rather have a big DLC to invest in/sink time into for a couple months and then play other good games til the next one than an "evolving world" which is just a code name for garbage drip content that doesnt satisfy anyone being fed week over week to create a fake sense of FOMO and keep you from playing anything else. If you want us to sink 100% of our gaming tine into your game, maybe try treating it with respect and developing quality content instead of the donkey fart horde mode of the week

      • the seasonal model is a failure for me. GTAO just updated and i've been playing that. by the time i come back to D2, i'll be behind on my season pass level and most likely not purchase the next temporary content. after a while i'll feel so out of the loop that i stop buying Destiny content all together.

      • I'd love to go back to the old style content dumps. New activity, new strikes, story, plenty of weapons and armour. 90% of this game involves running old content, it would be nice if that got some kind of update occasionally.

        • I’d much rather stop playing for a month or two between drops and just play something else than have the drip feed system.

        • I would rather have a Foresaken size expansion every 6 months than the crap we have now.

        • Bungie will never make more than 50% of the player base happy. Content droughts were brutal.

          • Unfortunately this is their point. When people get to the last week of the season and are 20 levels away from finishing the season pass and may miss out on a few worthless prizes, it becomes acceptable to spend a few dollars to finish. Its either play this game consistently or fund Luke's Christmas Vacation. Just don't tell his wife about his visits to a certain island.

          • You obviously have never played D1. What we have now is without a doubt an improvement than what we had before. I’d rather have new things to go over time than everything in the dlc in a month and have 11 months of nothing to do.

            • I'd prefer both? I don't really like Forsaken (mechanically), aesthetically it's great! Seasonal contents drops are my thing. I like the little filler stories that we have now because if we went back to just big DLC's, we only have lore tabs and Grimoire cards again. People complained that lore should be in game, and now that it is people want static big single story content drops. *sigh* I'm predicting a Forsaken sized expansion next year, it feels like it should be after medium sized Shadowkeep and the small seasons.

                • Yeah the seasonal model isn't great imo, rather have the bigger dlcs, though saying that CoO, Warmind, Dark Below and HoW weren't that great. Imo it might be best to just have one big dlc every 6 months (march/april and september/october) This seasonal model is just exhausting to keep up with and it all just gets padded out with filler (those like shoot 100 hive type objectives) to take up time.

                • They can’t feasibly make Forsaken level DLCs every few months. The seasons are meant to fill the time between the big content drop.

                    • Agreed. The season model goes by too fast to where you can’t really enjoy doing what you want in the game. Not to mention how buggy the game has become with this model. They cram these ideas down our throats and when we say nah it’s not good their answer is well, we’ll work on it for next season. Just go back to the old model of content drops, playtest things thoroughly, get good feedback and adjust before launch.

                    • they shouldn’t construct themselves to a tight time schedule with seasons it causes such rushed “content”

                    • They can't afford to make big dlcs every 2 and a half months, not now that theyre independent and don't have Activision.

                    • What they need to do is suck all the high up that make the final decisions on what goes into the game because at this point they’re not doing their job

                    • I'm kind of torn on this one. The older big dlc's had more involved story missions which was fantastic. The big DLCs were especially awesome at the beginning, but I often found myself more bored towards the end. The season pass style content has (thus far) had the more constant feed of content that keeps me occupied from start to finish, and bungie seems more willing to include potentially overpowered mods since they are temporary, but that conversely means we lose things more often which is frustrating at times. I dunno. I'm curious to see how bungie develops the season style DLC's. I definitely see your point, but (personally) I'll have to reserve my final judgement for now
