I've never enjoyed micromanaging my inventory and post master, but that's just the way I play. It may not affect the majority of players. As it stands, I'm currently struggling to manage the drops between shaders I don't want, blues I don't want, materials I do want but have a cap to them, and the weapons I want to sift through.
An option or toggle for auto-dismantle of blue weapons/armor would be a cool QOL fix and would allow players who want blue materials to continue collecting them, if it's even possible to apply to the game without breaking something or creating a disproportionate headache for the dev team.
*Came back to add the suggestion someone else offered: since many activities rely on having an item/bounty/quest active, this could be an inventory item that while equipped would dismantle items below legendary. Item can be collected from Post Master as you would any other vendor.

How this is still not possible... 1300 cap and every blue drop with it. I DON'T NEED THEM!
-
Please?

7 RepliesI may shock you: it was added in D1. Just like for everything else, Bungie just needs to press a button to recycle D1 options, guns, maps, quests, nerf cycles... It will be available in two to three seasons. It’s part of Bungie’s cycle of content.

Thank you for your feedback, ill forward this to the team to let them know players are still requesting this. Ive seen this response before.
-
1 ReplyEven if you could select a few pieces (like star them or something) then dismantle all at once.
-
1 Replyno toggle needed just dismantle after hitting power hard cap.
-
2 RepliesReal men dismantle them manually. 👍
-
2 RepliesThough i agree, auto dismantling should be an option we'll never see it simply because if we did we would realise that 99.9% of loot in this game from blue to exotics are absolutely useless. Which would then lead to the already known fact that eververse has all the loot, the activities have 0 replayability, and that we will never in fact "become legend" because what very few items that ARE usefull will eventually be nerfed into the ground. So they have to keep the blues rolling to make sure that you THINK youre being rewarded when in fact you never are to begin with
-
What’s the big deal? Got more blues, Than you can use? 😂😂😂😂😂
-
4 RepliesI kind of disagree because some blues can be a higher power for some people so they should dismantle as fast as shaders do
-
I would be fine with Bungie not fixing shaders if they do this.
-
The more I think about it, the more I think it won't happen because every season bungie wants you to wear blue until you're max light and have to infuse it into your purples/exotics.
-
2 RepliesAs long as we're not forced to do it. There are some blues I actually like.
-
1 ReplyThis is a really great idea. Yesterday I had to dismantle like four blues and my thumb started killing me. Or maybe I’m a little bit of a sissy and could use all the repetitions I can get. Ya know to make me big and strong like a big boy.
-
1 ReplyThis is a good idea but I dont think it will ever get added. People have been asking for this for years.
-
They’ve never even bothered acknowledging the issue so wont be added. Lazy sods.
-
5 RepliesI am seeing so much misinformation regarding blues auto-dismantling in D1. This was never a thing, the only thing that auto-dismantled was greens.
-
-
I dont even need auto dismantle. Give me option to block picking up blue loot. That should be even easier. In Path of exile for example you have something like 5 options of loot filter and you just leave all the rubbish on the ground. Easy
-
-
I would just change blue gear to dismantle as fast as shaders. That's the easy fix
-
That actually makes sense, which means Bungie won’t do shit about it.
-
Too hard for bungie, get back to the grind slave.

Edited by TNTAGE_TTV: 11/18/2019 2:54:33 AMSo no one else is using this as a drinking game? Every time you get a worthless blue , drink. Friends be like why you drunk all the time? Drunkenly I reply “Bungie.....”
-
2 RepliesThis right here So bored of having to stop playing to go back to the tower to start deleting blues. Even using DIM it gets annoying as it moves stuff around to allow the pull from the post master. Just a simple auto dismantle would be so much easier.

They leave anything in the game that takes time. Bungies motivation is not qol or quality its how to keep you in the game longer. whether thats dismantling or doing 400 events to get a catalyst
