Shadowkeep is a huge lackluster and a re skin galore. I’m wondering if Bungie is waiting to have a EA/Battlefront 2 Moment to fall and admit they -blam!-ed up.
Bungie is full of crap. They’ve lost my respect.

Edited by lCertifiedl: 10/21/2019 11:05:24 AMI think the game is just always going to be mediocre now. I means let's be honest this dlc is bang average, armour 2.0 feels worse, the loot bar the raid stuff is just not that interesting. PvP feels much the same, all vendors have been left behind bar eververse and that's getting more and more greedy as time goes on. I used to get so excited about a new dlc but every one just seems to not do enough or move the game on enough, subclasses are still boring, no new ways to pay bar finishers (which are shit and a cash grab) I think I just need to expect it's never going to be the game I'd hoped. It's not helped by the fact that BL3's loot game is so good and bungie just literally chucks leafs on old weapons and think they are great.

Although I totally agree, there’s very little they can do at this point. The sandbox is what it is and until they totally overhaul things with a new game from the ground up, this is what we’re stuck with.

I don’t like the overuse of reskins either, Bungie has seriously pushed the practice to the limit trying to stretch their already thin content, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for some kind of industry outcry. If players really have had enough, all they can do is make a statement with their wallet and stop buying content. As long as they continue purchasing seasons, Bungie will keep reusing assets to fill the gaps.

3 RepliesJesus Christ will you please shut the f*** up
-
They may have lost your respect, but they've managed to keep you logging in to play. 😂
-
5 RepliesLol nobody cares about what you think. You can go cry in a corner while all of us continue to enjoy the game.
-
2 RepliesThey're already developing D3 why would they care about this game. That's why the whole story was basically taken king missions but reskinned

3 RepliesEdited by Boss_KADA: 10/21/2019 12:26:39 AMI’m pretty sure that outside outside this community, no one really cares for Destiny. The last thing outside outlets mentioned was the Activision split. There’s some mythical aura surrounding Bungie, they seem to survive anything. Also, this is more of a positive EA/BioWare scenario

Edited by AppleSoda: 10/21/2019 3:50:00 AMHardly anyone cares. If reskins are what makes or breaks a game for you... yikes. There are way scummier things Bungie and other gaming companies do that the “mainstream,” sensationalist, cancel-culture loving people would rather focus on. And rightfully so. So many games thrive on reskins in one way or another that it is almost laughable to be this peeved about it. It’s okay to be upset about reskinning, but expecting people to drop a game or start some sort of boycott because a few guns have the same (or close to same) model in a game with hundreds of weapons is just sheer hilarity. Also Bungie’s pretty transparent with how much they reskin... you’re playing yourself if you bought into Shadowkeep completely ignoring the clearly advertised large sum of reskins.

6 RepliesPlay a different game.
-
A lot of games reskin. There are a ton of unique items.
-
1 Replyis this your first game?
-
2 RepliesI'm so glad I didn't pay for the latest dlc, not played in months and holy hell nothing has changed, even the add spawns on the moon are literally identical to D1?! No new vendor gear Few new exotics Eververse is legit everywhere now Crucible is still a mess All the cool raid ornaments, ship and sparrow are now in eververse Reskin galore Bungie should be ashamed. Roll on Halo infinite.
-
2 RepliesPersonally I don't care. I don't remember people complaining about Mortal Kombat using palette swaps on Scorpion, Sub Zero, and Reptile back in the day. If the stats are different who cares?
-
1 ReplyY’all don’t know what a reskin is and it shows.
-
29 RepliesBecause the people for whom this is a big issue....stopped playing. For those of us still playing....its just not that big of a deal. If you're not happy. Go play something else.

Never, as long as Bungie apologists exist this stuff will keep happening. I’m having fun at least in iron banner, but shadowkeep has been pretty mediocre if I’m being honest.
-
Even Kelly and other bungie supporters are lost for words trying to defend bungie, so they will just resort to getting angry.
-
They won’t. They are friends with the games “media” and influencers.
-
Um other than the raid armor and the invasion weapons I haven't really noticed any other reskins
-
That's why I didn't buy it and waited at least 3 weeks after release to make up my mind. It was all hype. But it was Activision's fault!
-
CoD drops next week, enjoy.
-
Forsaken had so much new stuff, but shadowkeep has hardly any new content its really sad
-
Edited by Nazo: 10/20/2019 12:03:05 AMYeah, both the Moon and Cosmodrome are pretty much just copied and pasted assets from D1. They might say it isn't, but it practically is. Same models, just slightly different textures, and they probably modified the original terrain a little bit, but still recycled content from D1. Granted, it does generate nostalgia when playing in those areas. At least they tried changing up the terrain in Rise of Iron, but this is just sad.

Review scores for Shadowkeep are only in the low 70s so I think critics are speaking out about the overall quality of the game. But that's not new for the franchise. The only thing that will make Bungie change course on any issue is MONEY (revenue). If Shadowkeep sales and the cash store are doing great, don't expect many changes. If "free-to-play" isn't doing much to bring in new players (except to hack PVP), and players that remember the old Eververse engram generosity refuse to buy from the cash store, I could envision Bungie may seek to fix some of the player concerns.

We have been since Rise of Iron. Pretty loudly too. The problem is people keep buying. Bungie couldn't give two shits if we're happy afterwards.
