They said somewhere that they don’t want a gun to feel like one thing in PvP, and have it do another thing in PvE.

Thing is, that's already how it is. The Oxygen SR3, for example, feels like a badass weapon in PvE, tearing through mobs like a mack truck through tissue paper with every headshot yielding a bigger and bigger explosion until the whole field is burning. In PvP before you can even aim the damn thing you're killed by some jackass spamming Last Word at ranges Hand Cannons have no business in. In PvE Machine Guns mow down everything but bosses. In PvP they'll lose to anyone wielding literally any SMG at any range. In PvE Last Word is worthless, the worst Hand Cannon you could possibly choose. In PvP the damn thing kills me at ranges a Sniper Rifle would struggle with. A massive disparity in weapon performance between PvE and PvP is already a major issue. Having a completely separate set of "buttons, switches, and dials" on each weapon for PvE and PvP probably won't fix this (it's still Bungie, after all) but at least the entire -blam!-ing game won't go to shit every time some PvP crybaby wets his pants about a weapon that is barely sub-par in PvE being "so ridiculously OP" in Crucible. Every single time a nerf is announced, I know exactly who to blame.

Yeah, it sucks how pvp players got skull, well, and Luna factions nerfed....

That's generally my reaction when it happens, too. And it's not just the Recluse, either, although that thing certainly is ridiculous in its own right. But no matter what SMG it is, it should not be outperforming Fixed Odds and Hammerhead. 3-4 headshots with an LMG should take down even the highest-resilience Guardians, maybe 5 or 6, tops, if they've got an overshield.8-10 body shots, perhaps. But emptying 6 shots into their back and 2 more into their face as they turn around just to get wasted by Bad Reputation or Hero's Burden before I can fire off that 3rd shot to the face? Even though they damn well should be dead already? That's another story entirely. One very clearly earmarked "something that should never be happening in this or any other shooter." And the irritating part is instead of calling it what it is, Bungie screwing the pooch (again), all I get on the forums is the endless slew of git gud" dumb-asses who are so thick in the head they can't grasp that a player's skill doesn't amount to a hill of caterpillar shit when the game's this broken.

I’d rather there be some weapons and armors getting blocked from PVP just so they don’t get nerfed in PVE. PVP would be a lot easier to balance if Mayhem was a permanent playlist and the only one with supers, power weapons, where you spawn with special ammo, and allowed exotics.

Ultimately, this is what is going to kill PvE in the long run. Crucible just can't be balanced without destroying PvE in the first place. Crucible was the most balanced at launch and PvE was in worst shape possible.
