The gamemode is hot garbage, we all know it. Going to bank the first motes and MEDIUM BLOCKER INBOUND!!! LARGR BLOCKER INBOUND!!!!!! Then they invade, wipe ur team and BOOM that's game folks. How is that fun to literally anyone
Edit: Btw, that was an example. If you think that's the only reason why others and myself despise the gamemode your crazy.

It’s fun to stomp.

Had a game just like this 10 min ago. We still won. Most of my Gambit matches are fun as hell. And I play always with randoms
-
Its fun for me
-
2 RepliesMany people are not actually playing the game now. They are just farming for orbs. So, if you are going for wins you might want to wait until all those people leave.
-
I would rather play Fallout 69 (and getting aimbotted immediately) than play Gambit.
-
Dont forget all the AFKers atm because of some of the armor requirements lol Horrible
-
5 RepliesIt's not garbage, just hasn't aged well. And it can be very, very fun. Just don't play a lot of it unless you're a gambit player.
-
5 Replieswarlock/luna/well/theMountaintop/TheRecluse you cant lose with that. git gud ?
-
Even if it's "bad", still had some funny/crazy moments in it. The invader timer helped me survived a Blade Barrage panic rofl!

18 RepliesEdited by jonpall: 8/1/2019 8:22:01 PMi think it is undeniable that machine guns need a range nerf because of gambit. Even the nerfs-are-satanism crowd would probably agree. Whats the point of a mode where someone can fly in and reset 5 minutes of progress in 20 seconds just by holding fire with a purple laser of death (hammerhead) that kills across the map. If it took good aim then sure, I prefer to invade with a sniper because it feels a lot more satisfying to get an army of one with that. I can avoid invaders 9/10 times but its my teammates getting farmed and wasting my time that is annoying.

It's fun to the people who just stomped you.

5 RepliesWorst experience of all time??? Clearly you've never been kicked in the balls

Power ammo shouldn’t be allowed for invading, and maybe do something about wall hacks
-
I would rather play Anthem (and have the game crash multiple times lol) than play Gambit.
-
yeah i know you're bad ok don't worry will be better
-
I enjoy gambit. Sucks u had an unpleasant time though.

4 RepliesI'm surprised no one has brought up that the final round in regular gambit is broken by shards of galanor giving instant supers.

Edited by mystical_fruit: 8/1/2019 8:42:08 PMIt’s true that this game mode needs some major love. It was at one point meant to be their crowning joy and it had so much potential but in all honesty, there was no need for 2 rounds in the standard gambit. If it was just 1 round I’d be happy. Then came prime. If you don’t have a fire team and communicate then you have a significantly harder time with randoms as they just either, all do the same role ie mote collecting. And there’s always that one guy who sits by the portal just waiting. It makes you at times wish for the power to delete other characters who bring nothing to the team. But alas, there needs to be some reworking and it could be great again. I’d be happy with a gambit without invasions and simply just an honest race to defeat the boss. Or as above, one round to speed things up as the xp each match just doesn’t cut it if you are on a losing streak which is very common as a solo que player

It's not all bad. Invasions do get annoying, but you always have to be on your feet.
-
Nah, I like Gambit. Sometimes you get bad matches, sometimes you don't. Part of the "fun" of Destiny matchmaking, I guess.
-
7 RepliesRemoving Hunters from the game would definitely help.
-
I find that if you shoot the invader in the face it stops them most times.
-
It's pretty bad. I especially love the matches where the game decides to make the npcs on your side light lvl 9000. Gotta love getting one shotted by a fallen dreg.
-
Frankly I’d think it’s great if machine guns were removed from the picture.
-
Invading is fun. Especially with the totally not broken in gambit golden gun of army of one.
