I thought the forge was end game content?
Why is everyone complaining I’m not understanding. It’s end game content for the more hardcore PvE players? Are you guys not able to rocket cheese? Is that it? They said you couldn’t get high end gear from it just right off the bat you’d have to grind for it. Plus just do the other CHALLENGES. There is like 10-20 of them every reset you lazy -blam!-s.
Edit 1: Get better instead of justifying why you can’t beat the game. Beat it 606 with other random 605’s. Not that hard just get good.

4 RepliesOnly 12% if the player base was at 600 when the BA dropped. Bungie have gone from one extreme to another. Like it or not, if the “casual” player decides to call it a day this game will fall off another cliff. Middle ground is needed.

6 RepliesThe ability to actually play the content we payed for would be nice. If I’m going to pay for access to content, it’s fair to expect to be able to do SOMETHING in it. Sure, I could hop into the forge event, but I’m already 15 light too low for just the 1st wave. Getting my shit wrecked by overleveled cabal for 5 minutes isn’t fun. The loot doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that the events aren’t doable without grinding out the same old crap. If I wanted to do that I could have WITHOUT buying the annual pass.

1 ReplyYou cant access the new bounties or anything to do with the dlc until you beat the forge at least once. Players cant complete the forge because now we gotta grind for 2 weeks to even finish the forge which means we have to grind for 2 weeks to access content. Does that make any sense? We cant even play this dlc because for the next 2 weeks we gotta do exactly what we have been doing for months and maybe then if stuff is not time gated which most likely is, we could finally enjoy the dlc. This is worse than osiris lol

Its a low skill horde mode grind with matchmaking and random rolls that drop shit %99 of the time and cant compete with the current PvE meta anyway. Hardcore my ass. It was capped at mid level which serves no purpose in "end game" and did nothing but artificially power gate the content. The shit it drops doesnt even compare to IKELOS SG/SR back in Warmind. You gotta be some kinda special to think THIS was the end game. Naw this shit is just a POORLY TUNED casual horde mode grind fest.

We beat the story mode. We level up to 600. WE HAVE BEEN DOING THE ENDGAME FOR MONTHS.

Bungie clearly said this was going to be an extension of the current end game and what is so funny is looking at everyone who is 550 or whatever around there who clearly are no where near done with the current end game....complaining about how they can't do the next end game activity.....priceless. now bungie could make a catch up mechanic - like raise the soft cap - thats fine...most of the players still won't be able to complete the forges because they are horrible players but at least they can't complain that they can't access it....they will just complain that it is too hard for them lol just hope bungie doesn't make the forges easier

3 RepliesImagine buying something and not even being able to use it for a week. That’s the issue. Everyone loaded up this week did the few objectives and then couldn’t even do what this dlc was for. Majority of the people won’t be able to complete the forge this week. Some maybe not even next week.

4 RepliesI personally do not see the issue yet? I was able to make 610 in two days lets call it 4 hours a day to accomplish and beat the forge twice now both times with total randoms. I get that the forge is meant to be a mechanic for me to chase god rolls, now if the other forges all use the exact same mechanic then I will become annoyed with this DLC. Also a completely new raid which I hope will be a decent length since they specified its a raid not a raid lair, but I do agree the soft cap should have been like 605 to at least give you and a coordinated team a shot without having to all camp and whisper the boss to death.

They completed the story, the quests, The Dreaming City, The Shattered Throne, they’ve done almost everything there is to do and even at 600 it’s not enough to complete the first forge. Everything people have been doing now is endgame. They paid $30 and right out of the gate they can’t even do the first activity. That doesn’t inspire much faith in what’s to come. For some people it could realistically be weeks of grinding the same milestones before they even get a chance at the forge much less completing and grinding it.

1 ReplyI already unlocked the endgame, I dont to go back and regrind the old endgame when I was max light before BA’s launch. Also, im pretty sure 605 is still endgame, but it doesn’t require playing an extra week of old content to beat the forge. [spoiler]Its also very ironic that you call people “lazy” for not wanting to grind in a VIDEO GAME, like its not a job. And some people have jobs, and they dont want to waste their time at home grinding old content. [/spoiler]

A lot of us were 600 (and that took a while of doing the same activities week after week) and now we are 50 light levels under, and stuck doing the same things again... I get destiny is a game meant for grinding but there physically isn’t enough ways to grind that aren’t so repetitive and it’s getting people mad. We worked our asses off to get to 600 light, so why should we have to work them off again doing the same activities? Gets a little boring right? I think the forge should have had a boss at around 620 light so that people from the beginning could kill it with an average fireteam (like the really bad pre-made ones you get put with atm). Yes, the forge is a good concept, but it has not been executed with the majority of the player base in mind. People who play games for fun and want something new... Rather than doing the same thing for another 2 months and then going back to this new thing when nobody cares about it anymore...

Maybe people are sick of playing the same missions over and over again, something new would have been nice And yes I get Bungie told everyone what it would be etc, but I think we’re still a bit foolish as we keep paying for less and less content When will everyone finally agree and stop buying or demand more for their money? How small will future dlc get until finally something is said or done? Just seems they keep asking for money and seeing how little we will accept before it becomes non profit

7 RepliesI think people are upset because access to the endgame content is artificially gated and delayed by a ton of older, chore based content that is anything but endgame. If the grind to 650 was actually new content (like a new location), I think the first impressions of BA would be better.

I think people are just upset because there's not much of anything that leads up to the endgame content. If there had been a campaign and a new destination, people would be a lot less upset, even if they were shit.

So they get mad when the developer fails to deliver what they (as an individual) WANTS....and not when the dev fails to deliver what they promised. Which is unreasonable...and not the devs fault. Bungie has been telling us for MONTHS that this was not going to the sort of DLC that we got in the past. There was not going to be a campaign. There was not going to be a story. The they were going to be adding new END-GAME content, with an emphasis on the REPLAYABLE content and loot pursuits that the community invests in. Bungie delivered exactly what they said they were going to. But all over this forum you hear----lets be frank---kids raging about how Black Armory failed to deliver the experience that Bungie made a POINT to tell us not to expect. However, also in typical fashion, its all Bungie's fault....and none of these complainers are willing to take any responsibility for failing to learn about what they were buying....and to align their expectations with the product the dev said they intended to deliver.
