REMOVE BREAKTHROUGH
This is my personal opinion. Please comment yours on this pist so we can gauge what the community is thinking.
I’ve had two of the worst crucible experiences ever in this gamemode and it should not be in comp imo

I had no idea the infinite tie was a thing. It’s such bs. I’ve noticed the spawn camping in that trials map too... I love Destiny. I love PvP. I cannot stand Breakthrough tho. It makes me sad to have a game mode I can’t enjoy. :(

11 Replies2 1/2 hrs. I was in a single match for 2 1/2 hrs last night. The enemy would control the breaker area and just keep pushing us back. They would never take it because whoever takes it would be fighting an uphill battle. We had 45 rounds before my team finally decided to just go all out to take the breaker, and then we lost. Breakthrough should either be removed, or have some kind of preventative measure put in so that a match like that never happens.

Breakthrough is hot garbage. You get put at a disadvantage if you capture the point. Which is why any good team NEVER caps the point. It’s tough to beat a team dig into their spawn. Not only that but you can easily just be spawn camped and farmed for kills INFINITELY because the flawed system will always result in a tie. The game mode needs to be more tug of war like. Team with the most points captured at end of the round wins. But then you may as well be playing control.

It’s stupid how defenders win easily. If you cap the breaker you’re in a disadvantage.

Thank you. This game mode is terrible. It’s almost not worth capping the middle when you can just defend your zone and still win.

It's total trash. As long as they take it out of comp I will be happy but honestly it should just be thrown into a fire all together.

Ward of dawn recharges way to fast for this game mode...have you played against a ward yet in this? They get their super every round...

How they have it right now doesn’t work. There is a situation where it can just keep going into OT whenever no one caps the middle. Which can happen if every time your close you get wiped and every time the enemy is close they get wiped. Can lead to a very long game.

22 RepliesRemove it? No. That is merely the Crybaby/Whiner method of doing things. Congrats on showing your colors BTW. Rework it? Yes. PvP needs more modes of play. The idea of this new mode is sound, but, once again, Bungie's execution of it was flawed.

I really like it, haven’t had any of the horror experiences others have had, seems as if Bungie should put in a time limit/ draw mechanic for the farming situations

I personally really enjoy the mode, but I feel like it should have more incentive for teamwork and not rushing with shotguns just to secure the area. Or just take it out of competitive.

BUMP THIS UP PEOPLE! absolutely detest this game mode. It was a lab trial then it’s in the playlist the week after!? It’s ruining my ranking when I get this crap b2b games. Not got problem with the others you can clutch in most circumstances but if your solo queuing or against a team this is RIP to your rankings 💩👎🏼

Last night was the first time I played breakthrough with some of my long term clan friends. Everyone complained and said back out. I can confirm it’s complete trash. I was defending and got spawned killed twice in a row. Opposite team had constant supers and heavy just farming us. Ok that was the first game guess we were just unlucky, nope the next 3 were all the same and sucked all enjoyment from us. It really shouldn’t be in comp at all let alone quickplay. Good try bungle but it sucks
