Literally everyone of these posts is people complaining about the Y1 guns they can't let go of. Nearly every post is about how everything is too expensive and masterwork cores shouldn't be a requirement. Newsflash it's day 2 and you have plenty of more work to do. Seriously new content means trying new things what's so hard to understand about this?
Even Spider has a "black market" you can buy from to get stuff that's harder to come by.
In short, try different guns and save your infusing for later date guns that shouldn't be wasted on guns with no random rolls/better perks.

1 Reply640 shards for 1 masterwork...

5 Repliesnew flash: people have school and jobs and they dont have all day to grind for materials. it requires too much to infuse

9 RepliesI'm going to base my response with the assumption you are a casual player, so forgive me if I'm wrong. The reason people are complaining is not because of the price to infuse but rather because of rarity of the cores. The majority of y1 players came in with at least 50 cores, I came in with 109(have not spent any) at the moment I can Max out to 516 light and that is with the purple armor I received from the spider's bounty's, however the rolls are not good at all compared to the crucible gear I picked up. If I wanted to infuse that in to my crucible gear it would cost me 10 cores alone that's -10 so I'm left with 40, weapons exotics take 3-4 and legendary 2-3 if I wanted to infuse my weaker weapons with better rolls to a higher power lvl I would be left broke no more cores. Your argument is that anyone can buy from the spider, yes but only 1 at a time and the price doubles with each one's from 10-20-40-60-120 the average player probably has around a grand shards I have 1167 if I were to spam buying cores I'd be left with no shards to infuse other items and at the rate it's going I would still be broke with no cores and shards. And then comes the new tier system that also requires cores to upgrade, no matter how we look at it the core economy is insanely bad. The issue is not that everything requires cores but that cores are incredibly hard to obtain unless purchased from spider. Tldr; core economy is bad, the price is not high just cores being extremely difficult to obtain.

I hate the new system and don't care about y1 equipment. Just proved you wrong
-
That's Bungies fault for making weaker guns than year 1. NEXT kiddo?
-
4 RepliesI deleted all my year 1 stuff.
-
I was reluctant to let go of my favourite gear and weapons, especially the Faction stuff from season 1 which I was never going to see again. Until I checked the Collections page. Everything you've got you can retrieve later for a small outlay. If you unlocked it, it's there for the taking.

7 RepliesI mainly just want my armor with cool shaders

3 RepliesBecause there will always be that crowd that want everything now. Then cry because they are bored. I like the new changes and am in no hurry. D1 day 1 vet. Let them complain.......😂

1 ReplyEdited by Ravontulet: 9/6/2018 1:15:32 PMWhen any expansion in Destiny starts it's always best for you to set aside most, if not all, of your current equipment and run with the most powerful stuff that you can find along the way, blue, purple whatever, we might look like a nightmare but that is the best way to Progress. Given how expensive in glimmer and materials it is to upgrade anything you have to get further along to upgrade any favorite Exotics or Year One equip. ( Like 500+ min) That's my advice and I've been able to keep a hold of a whole bunch of mats that way Also another tip go to your Vault take all your year one stuff and break it down for legendary shards in master work cores. you can buy it all back from the collections at any given point in time and there's no reason whatsoever to have a whole bunch of weapons in your bank that you're not using. Keep some faves. But you could get a whole bunch of glimmer and a whole bunch of legendary shards, to keep you flush

Edited by Jeronas: 9/6/2018 12:44:27 PMRoll a new character. Ignore your current stash and see if you still feel the same. /FACEPALM I just started fresh on PC and the Infusion system is completely broken for me! For new players this is complete hell and unplayable! You get your first exotic armor piece at level 10, then you can trash it again two levels later, since in no way can I farm up 4 MC cores and a bunch of shards at that level! They completely messed up! It's completely out of wack now! Absolutely NUTS having to use Master cores on such low levels! Fine if they want to make it expensive at the new level cap with Master cores, but at level 10? Was the guy at Bungie on drugs or something when he made this change? Do they even play and test their own friggin' game when they come up with these ridiculous and unnecessary changes?!

In short, try different guns and save your infusing for later date guns that shouldn't be wasted on guns with no random rolls/better perks.
That's exactly what I read. Makes sense. There's no point in infusing the Y1 stuff, when its going to be inferior.

Edited by Dayknight: 9/6/2018 12:31:48 PMOr just use blues until you are higher. I will say the drop rate for MW cores should be raised slightly.
-
Wait til they start selling mw cores for real money.

14 RepliesFurther PSA,which I just read somewhere else: Apparently the masterwork core requirement is only for infusing weapons of different types, ie sidearm into scout. If you infuse scout into scout, there is apparently no come core requirement and it’s mucho cheaper overall.
-
Be careful using Spider because materials get more expensive as you go. I wasn't paying much attention and spent over 600 legendary marks on a masterwork core. Good tips BTW. 👍🏼✌🏼️
-
You only have to cough up glimmer if you infuse the same item (same piece of gear).
-
1 ReplyYeah except even the year 2 items you like have to be infused. That 410 bow you wanted to use past level 40? Needs to be infused. Have any intention of using exoctics, they’re going to need to be infused? You honestly think you’re going to go from 500-600 light level with random rolls now in the game using only gear AS IT DROPS? I’d love to live in the Magic Christmas land you inhabit. If I was using you’re system I would currently be stuck using a completely unplayable load out as without infusion the only remotely usable weapons I’ve gotten have been grenade launchers and blue auto rifles.
-
6 RepliesI mean... Do we really need to use masterwork cores for infusion? That's my only gripe
-
Im honestly completely fine with the entire thing aside from the masterwork cores being a infusion requirement. It should've always cost a lot more glimmer and materials to infuse, I feel like masterwork cores should be used for their namesake purpose though. Their called masterwork cores........not infusion cores

2 RepliesIt's NOT just that. Lol. You may WANT to keep pushing and denying but it's the worst thing ever. Some of us want to upgrade our armor so we are stronger until we find better gear lol. Bungie even is allowing legendary gear to continue....sooo??? Your logic is just you complaining about people that are tired of grinding. Destiny is NOT a big enough game to have a grind in. There's nowhere near enough content. It has no ultimate plot line. "Just beat the guy...then you're done." Barely any end-game content that gets boring and dull after just a few weeks. It's just not worth a grind.

7 RepliesEdited by gracklepod: 9/6/2018 3:32:13 AMI just want a blue 500 sniper so I can infuse it into my whisper. All I seem to get are swords and grenade launchers... cursed rng.

How can literally all of them and nearly every post be about two different things?

1 ReplyTake a break from getting your throat pummeled by Bungie dude

Edited by ClovenTrack620: 9/6/2018 4:04:53 AMi just dont like the fact that they took away the Mods from my Armor, i liked the Specific Set up i had on my Crucible gear. Now my character feels weak af in PvP, and i dont have that many Mod components to bring my Stats back up

1 ReplyWhere's this "back market" you mentioned?
