Pre patch my exotics were 385, now they are 380. Does anyone know why this is a thing?

2 RepliesThe fact that the Exotic and Elemental mods have been removed is somewhat irrelevant. If Bungie decided to remove the mods from weapons, they should have therefore compensated by making the weapon increase its base power level by 5. For example, this is NOT only an Exotic issue. If you had weapons such a ‘Perfect Paradox’ and ‘Frigid Jackal’ both these power weapons were moved to the Primary slot and their +5 Elemental mod was removed, did you get a +5 Kinetic mod to compensate ... NO. So you lost 5 power on that weapon. If you extrapolate this out to the full release of Forsaken, does that mean that ALL of your weapons with any kind of Year1 +5 power buff will lose it! So all your 385 weapons will become 380..... who knows? I for one feel robbed, it is a principle thing, because will the drop from 385 to 380 make a massive difference, probably not... but boy I am pissed off by not getting some form of redress or compensation. i.e. The power level of the weapon should remain the same, you took effort to upgrade them, including glimmer and materials. If they don’t remain the same power level, you should be getting Year 2 mods gratis to compensate.

On Tuesday the 4th all the +5 mods will be gone, it is best not to worry or mod anything right now because you will buy new ones when forsaken drops.

Because +5 mods are being removed

They said they were removing power increasing mods (+5 legendary mods), in order to add the new batch of mods in the 4th.

3 RepliesNot one of you are actually seeing the problem. YES I KNOW mods are "removed". It's about me losing 5 power level on weapons!

Dude bungo said this was gonna happen. And in a couple of days we’re gonna have to get all new gear anyways. It’s no big deal if your numbers change by 5, cause the max number is gonna change by 200
